Title: A New Challenger Approaches!

Can you guess who he is?

Hmm...Have you ever participated in any other survivor contests? If so, which ones?

I've been in two contests: MM and QBV

1. Have you got a lovely bunch of coconuts (deedly-dee)?

2. If you could go back, would you have taken the Red Balm or the Blue Balm?

3. In a steel cage match for the Pirate's Belt, who would draw first blood?

1. Yes!  Here they are, in fact, a-standing in a row ♫

2. Hmm... I'll go with blue balm.  They'll be expecting the red one, now.

3.  Now that's a toughie.  I think it would be VERY close and hard to tell, really, but quite possibly Bell for being a quick little shmousey.

As for the question of who would draw the BEST blood, however... :P

1. Are you on VI?
2. Are you on fanfiction.net?
3. What is your social security number?
4. What is Rath's favourite colour?
5. Who would he most likely to fall in love with and marry out of characters of the contests you have been?
6. Who were your characters?
7. Does Rath have a secret crush on Bell?

What's your favorite style of shoe?
If Rath was a superhero, what would his power be?
If you and Rath had to share ice cream, what flavor would the two of you choose?

With the exception of the first double question by Jarrtail and the first two by Erethas, the questions posed are mindless dribble.  (Hedgehog just goes off muttering not understanding these "guess who" threads.)

I don't wish to START anything here, but I do believe that calling these questions mindless drivel is quite unnecessary and harsh, and I won't abide by that sort of thing in my guessing thread.

Let that be the end of it.

NOW.

Erethas:

1. No
2. No.
3. I don't believe they give social security numbers to vermin.  THE CADS!
4. Green.
5. Do you mean my own characters, or just any characters in the contests?  I can say with some assurance that any relationships with my characters would not work out at all.  To be honest, though, I can strangely see Rath and Revel working out, despite the interspeciesness of it all.
As for other ferrets... nope, nothing comes to mind as of yet.
6. Now, if I were to just tell you that, I'm afraid there would be no point to this being a GUESSING thread.  Nice try, though!
7. Of course not!

KEANE

1. I am partial to chucks/converses, although I love many kinds of boots.
2. Invisibility.  Good for avoiding unnecessary attention.
3. I would introduce him to the wonders of vanilla-cheesecake, and there would be much rejoicing.
And sugar highs.

1. Would Rath care to share a four-cheese pizza with me and "Birch"?
2. Would Rath rather watch Grey's Anatomy, House, or Scrubs?
3. If Rath found out he was an animated marshmellow sewn together with candy floss, who would he mail his plans to build a castle in the shape of an igloo to?

If Rath and Tombstone got into a fight, who would win?

Hey....referring to that...Stonewall...

You just reminded me of another question!

If Rath and Castille (from Redscape) got into a fight, who would win?

*Did MM ever finish? I lost the link*

Title: Re: A New Challenger Approaches!

Revel

1. But of course!  Although he'd make sure to give himself much bigger slices than Birch.
2. Hm... probably House.
3. To the milkman.  His milk is delicious, after all.

Stonewall

Now that would be a fight!  I'm not sure Rath would be able to take on a gigantic badger, and he's certainly not underpawed enough to get away with it like Desmond and Biara did.

In the end, I'll go with a decisive: I don't know, but it'd certainly be awesome.

Dirgecallers

Grk... I'm afraid I'm not too familiar with RS.  I really need to get caught up with that.  For the time being, though, I'm unable to come up with a suitable guess, since I don't know who Castille is.

So I'll just say Rath wins and we'll call it a day.

Good. Glad he'd pick House.

Since I'm a drama bird: "Did Rath harbor any affection for the ladies, or was he being chivalrous?

And, for that matter, did Rath have a "dark past" (tm), or has he always been a gladiator? I'm looking for any hints of evil in him.

1. Ferret, Ferret, in the sand, who's the fairest in the land?

2. What was your inspiration for th'Warrior ferret?

3. And, since we're asking about backstory, how'd Rath come to be a fighter?

1. That's going to be one big pizza! I was hoping we could spread Birch evenly across the top, but if you want a slice bigger than she'd fit on...
2. CSI: Miami, CSI: New York, or CSI: Oasis?
3. Which milkman? Dan, Stan, or Jackie Chan?

I was just thinking: Rath needs a really cool finishing move. Any ideas what it would be? And it's name?

ONe idea I had was he grabs the opponent by the scruff of the neck, tosses them in the air, and while the opponent in is mid-fall, Rath brings the axe down vertically, smashing them into the ground and chopping them in half at the same time. I don't have a name for it yet, though.

Sneaky Damask

1. I think the only lady he came closest to having any sort of real affection for was Revel.  He saw Eliza as annoying and bossy, and the other two females were his arch enemy and a near-dead slave.

2. I suppose you might call it dark.  He was a bit of a "street rat ferret" when he was young, and his morals were gray at best.

Eliza

1. Myself, of course!  Chicks dig the scars.

2. I wanted to make some sort of fighter, and I couldn't recall ever having seen a "prize fighter" type character in one of these contests.  The idea for the scene in the app formed soon after, and I warmed up to him remarkably.  Also, his character was a bit inspired by a line from the song Go With the Flow by Queens of the Stone Age:
"I want something good to die for, to make it beautiful to live."

3. So, take unpleasant footpad/thug Rath, who's got a bit of a knack for fighting, but is really little more than just a common criminal.  He stole something from a gang of vermin thieves and got the snot beat out of him for it.  However, a fighter happened to have been watching the tail end of that struggle, and noticed a lot of potential in Rath.  He had the ferret healed, and trained him to focus his strength.

Rath himself eventually just got tired of killing for its own sake... and then got tired of killing for other beast's sakes, and that's where we get our ferret as we saw him at the beginning of the story.

Revel

1. Well, Rath IS quite particular about his pizza.  I suppose he could accommodate just a little in this case, though :P
2. Definitely CSI: Oasis
3. I'm sorry, I'm afraid any information on the milkman's identity is confidential.

Erethas

1. There are some who know him as.. Tim?
2. "Somehow, I doubt it." ~ Jarrtail.

Deadtail

1. Possibly.

Stonewall

YES!  And I need to think about it more, so I'll post it later. That one is awesome, though.

What's your favorite mixed drink?  What's Rath's?
If Rath were cast in West Side Story, what role would he play?!

2. What's Rath's ideal lady-friend?

1.  If Rath hadn't been pressganged onto the ship, and had just continued on his way, where would he have gone and what might he have done?
2.  If you hadn't died, what sort of ending would you have liked for Rath?
3.  You know how I got these scars?

Who aren't you?

Why aren't you those people?

To be honest, I've always seen Rath's "Final Attack" to be similar to Hakumen's from Blazblue (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNZ8AnK3Mss)
(2:40 in this video, if you don't feel like watching the whole thing.  You really should, though!)

Keane

1. No, no, no, no, no; are you kidding?!
2. Hrm... I'm not really sure if I have a favorite, to be honest/boring.  I'm partial to a bunch of things.  Rath, however, would insist on having coconut involved somehow.  Bless him.
3. Maria!  No, I kid.  He'd be...
Um..
I forget the individual characters >_>
I guess he can be the Tybalt equivalent, 'cause Tybalt was awesome AND died! :D

My My My My My WHOO! (aka, Bellona)

1. Decisive Battle (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShfGtSrXorc)from Final Fantasy Tactics
Whenever I hear this song I think of Rath.  The bit from 0:30-0:36 in particular, because its very simple and yet menacing at the same time.
2. I don't think he has an "ideal" female.  And I'm not just being lazy!  He's just never stopped to think about the possibility of settling down.  I suppose if he were to ever meet a female fighter, he might think differently...
3. I might as well go with honour.  Because spell-check is anti-British spelling, and I must fight the system.

Tara

1. Clam chowdah!  From Bah-stan.  Where you pahk the cah in the hahvahd yahd.
2. Ferret, of course.
3. Quincy.

Double-post?  Can I really do this?

Venril

1. He might have gone on to become some sort of mercenary or bounty-hunter, before realizing that he really just wants to protect others.  He's really sort of like a "vermin" paladin, almost.  He might decide to go after only dangerous woodlanders who've been killing lots of vermin. Then he would still fight, and he would get to fight only skilled opponents, and would be doing the world a favor.

2. Rath would have come out of the desert realizing that he has already made a difference in at least a small part of the world and will be remembered... and that's only the start.  Depending on who else was alive, he might see them safely home before going on his own way.

3. As long as it doesn't involve making a pencil disappear...

Eliza

1. I'm just a ferret.
2. I'm not not a ferret.
3. I JUST WASN'T BORN THAT WAY, OKAY?! *sob*

or
is he just following the road where it takes him?

Sycamore

Of course!

Eliza

1. Unless they involve spikes, lasers, or exploding apples, then yes
2. He could probably use a few more, if the question were to be addressed
3. Well he DOES approve of subtracting beasts, dividing them, and/or multiplying them...with his axe, of course . That's what he does best!
4. I never would have guessed...

Bells

Well, mostly he's just following along.  He's definitely does more reacting than responding... if that makes any sense at all.  If he had lived, perhaps he might have changed.

And since another has left us, I suppose I shan't keep myself in the dark much longer.

Who is Rath?

None other than Balmafula.
