Just about to vote now. Still need to figure out a few uncertain categories, but I'll see what the rest of my cast spread looks like and judge based off that.

Wanted to reiterate the congratulations to everybody who made the Top 30. We had forty-eight applications, which is about a 30% increase in number from MO:III. So if you made it into the Top 30, be proud! I'm sure there was a lot of stiff competition among some categories, so that is no small feat!
Proud of everyone who submitted, regardless of if you made it into the Top 30 or not. Took guts to write something up and post it to be publicly scrutinized.

Finally, a point to consider for those who may not make it in: it was mentioned about doing a Audience Contest on the side during this contest (which, to my knowledge, is the exact same thing as the real contest, just not "official"), so that those who didn't make it in didn't have to lose out on the fun of writing and having community interaction. I don't know for certain if that's still a thing, but keep in mind that just because you may not make it into the real contest, it doesn't mean that everything is a wash. Could be that a story is made for your characters to participate in anyway!
Now, don't hold me to that, since it's not officially structured or anything, but just realize all hope ain't lost!

I cast my ballot! Super stoked and, Yes, everyone please vote. Even if you don't have a character in the top 30, people put so much effort into their applications, reviews, and artwork. Every vote means that effort was not wastes. GO TEAM GO!!

It's the final hour before voting closes! Unless this contest runs on an easter time zone, then voting has closed and congrats to all the final top ten entrees! Woo! Yay! *Throws confetti*

But one last word before I sign off for the night. Part of the fun of this web site is that people will give you reviews of your character. By now you have seen people either like or dislike your submission (s) and give you more advice than you probably know what to do with. Some of it will come from people have published works of their own or who write as a hobby. Some will be experienced others new to writing. In the end no matter where it comes from advice on your writing has the potential to be both good and bad...maybe both at the same time. Art is in the eye of the beholder so anything you write will be loved by someone and not so loved by someone else. That's ok, thats normal. Just remember it is up to your own disernment who you listen to or choose not to listen too. Which advice is good for your character, which isnt. Is more than one person giving the same advice? Does this work with the plots and plans you have already set into motion? Etc etc and more etc.

And most important of all, no matter what you write...have fun. At the end of the day you joined the contest to have fun, either as a contestent or a reader. If you have fun writing your character, then chances are we will have fun reading them. :3
