So, we need to choose an idea first. Here are the three left from the other thread. Let me know in the comments which one you guys want to write (or suggest a different prompt, if you'd like).

Anchorage scene setting || description A vessel (of any kind) arrives at dock. Paint the best scene you can. Assuage speechwriting || characterisation || worldbuilding Something big and nasty is coming, be it plague or war or famine. A character must deliver a speech to reassure their community in the face of the calamity. Tailor description || characterisation Describe an outfit. Be lavish, give us details and meanings behind what a character is wearing. (thanks to The Grey Coincidence) Turnabout description || worldbuilding || subversion Make the unusual usual. Show us life in a vermin horde, or the reasons for cannibalism. (thanks to Kali) Fisticuffs description || characterization || action Write a fight scene! Give us some good ole fisticuffs. Or an epic duel aboard a ship's mast. Or a bar brawl. (inspired by the Anatomy of an Action Scene thread) (thanks to Grey) Unwritten description || characterization|| App-practice Pick a category from M:O4 that you didn't apply to (that contest's entry post can be found here), and write an app for it as if you were entering, now. (thanks to Grey/Airan) Triage scene setting || characterization|| Worldbuilding Having to deal with illness/injury. Like, ones the character(s) aren't sure they'll survive. (thanks to Masika) Also, if anyone else wants to hop in and judge, let me know. I don't mind solo judging if needs be, but I know it would be useful to the entrants to get multiple perspectives. EDIT 1: A wild Sycamore has entered the judging ring! One more gets us up to the usual three.

My vote is still for Assuage but I did come up with two more ideas to add to the pool for possible later teenies.

One is to pick a category from MOIV (that's The Beasts In The Crater) that you didn't apply to and write an application for it (technically this was Airan's idea, but he proposed it way back when we were still doing Gab 'N Grub and I feel all the contest excitement (ya know, the prologue, actual app writing and stuff etc etc) swept that idea away like a big ole tidal wave).

Theee other idea I have is, I guess slightly related because MOIV had a lot of combat, to write a fight scene! Inspired by Anatomy of An Action Sequence- give us some good ole fisticuffs. Or an epic duel aboard a ship's mast. Or a bar brawl.

I like Grey's first idea (pick a category for MOIV and write an app for it.

Thanks, you two! Updated to add suggestions (and the one I missed from the last thread).

From what I've seen in here and in the Discord, we're split pretty evenly between Assuage and Tailor. I'll give it another day or so before deciding.
