The Whitelands

Bone Rattler
Bone Rattlers are mystical diviners, strange beasts who sway to the rhythms of dancing bone.  They are the augurs of fate— past, present and future are laid bare before their eyes as they conduct their arcane rituals. The Song Of All That Lives weaves between the empty spaces in the beats of the bones as they shake. It is the Bone Rattler's job to unravel the threads of The Song and illuminate their meaning. Revered by many for their wisdom but often misunderstood in their power and mistrusted because of it, Bone Rattlers must guide the beasts who cannot hear The Song, must turn their heads from folly and point them in the direction of triumph.

Knight of the Claw
Highly skilled warriors feared across the Whitelands, the Knights of the Claw are handpicked by Kastor from the ranks of the army to serve in his elite guard. To become a Knight of the Claw, a beast must prove themself worthy of the mantle, and many have died trying. Though few have ever spoken to their king, they serve him with ardent and unshakeable loyalty. To them, he is a god. Where Kastor goes, the Knights follow, ready to lay down their lives for their sacred leader.

Ice Walker
To feed the people of the Kingdom, the Ice Walkers travel north each spring on the Sacred Hunt, and there they wander across the tundra until winter, prowling across the barren landscape in search of prey. Ice Walkers must be fearless and nimble, for the prey they stalk is dangerous indeed— the gargantuan Horned Ones with their swinging antlers, Longtusks with their muscular bodies and sharp teeth, and the most feared and fearsome beast of all: the Greatmaw, with claws the size of swords and a mouth big enough to swallow a beast whole.

The Clans

Interpreter
The shape of the clouds, the flow of the rivers, the dryness of the air— to Interpreters, all are tools to decode the machinations of nature. Using a vast array of instruments and charts, the Interpreter studies natural phenomena to gain an understanding of nature and forecast her steps. They use this knowledge to advise the beasts of the South— when to stockpile crops, when to prepare for storms and floods, when to hunt. Interpreters swear allegiance to no clan; they wander from sagebrush to desert and offer their wisdom to all who need it.

The Ring
There is no bond as strong as one forged in fire and blood. Such is the bond between the brothers and sisters of the Ring. Lifted out of slavery by Kango Chainbreaker, these fearsome warriors fought the hordes of Gash Gila in the Great Uprising and freed the five clans from subjugation. Now, the Ring has dispersed across the land, roaming the south and hunting down the last vestiges of the Gila Warlord's armies, driving them back into the deep canyons from whence they came. But Kango Chainbreaker beats the drum of war, and the Ring must answer the call— for they will always stand beside their brothers and sisters, no matter what the cost.

Beast Master
The secrets of the Beast Masters Guild are closely guarded, yet highly valued. Using ancient knowledge, they have learned to tame the feral beasts that scuttle and scurry across the landscape. From warthogs to scorpions, the Beast Masters harness the power of nature for peace and war. But submitting animals to your will is no easy task. Venom, tooth or claw could easily spell the end, and so the Beast Master must be confident and self-assured, lest they lose control of their charges.
