Ask an evasive pathological liar anything!

Airan

1.) Where did you first come up with the idea for Vasily as a character?

2.) Were there any scenes that you originally wanted to write and include in your posts but were unable to, whether from simply not having the time or it simply not fitting well?

3.) Was it coincidence that Vasily was eaten by a shark on Shark Week?

Vasily Izhets

1) The genesis of Vasily was a suggestion by one of my fellow contestants in a previous contest that I try writing a more humorous character, so I wracked by brain and came up with everyone's (least) favorite rogue.

His catchphrase has a rather more complicated origin, but it's also one that's considerably less relevant so I'll leave that bit be.

2) Well, not in the sense of having to cut anything. I am rather upset that Vas never got to reunite with his sister, though; I had planned that to be the penultimate moment of his character and all that and there was a lot of buildup.

Ah well. It will live on in my mind, at least.

3) ...It's Shark Week? When is that going to get declared a national holiday already?

Tooley Bostay

- What other contests have you been in?

- Have you ever placed in the top 3/won a contest before?

Xorvath

This isn't a question, per say, but in an alternate dimension when Vasily had his final 2 thoughts as the shark consumes him it could be unconsciousness and not death; he could wake up and continue his own story in this dimension to find his sister. I also did have a question about what a mermaid looks like in the Redwall universe... I vote for Cat/Shark hybrid. What'dya think? (there's it's a question)
"...but a dolphin's a mammal..."

Vasily Izhets

Tooley:
1.Oh man, several... Let's see: Midnight Mossflower II, Redwall:Lockdown, Redventure 6, Mossflower Odyssey I and II... I think that's all of em

2. Yes. Once. That was a good time

Xorath
1. I think it would be the usual mammal/fish combination, no? Maybe carnivorous mammals have shark bodies and the herbivores are less vicious fish.

Oh yeah, and y'all are free to guess my identity, whether it be on here or in a private message. Shouldn't be too difficult, I don't think

Matra Hammer

1- Who was your favorite co-contestant in this contest?

2- Earth, Wind & Fire or Carlos Santana?

3- Did you have any other apps in this contest?

4- If Vasily could only eat one thing for the rest of his life then what would it be and why?

5- What would Vasily do if his sister appeared in front of him suddenly?

6- Who were your least favorite characters in MOI and MOII?

Vasily Izhets

Matra:
1. They're all wonderful people, but I've gotta give Tooley props for not only being on top of the complex dual plot/organization we had in the first week but also Spagging my preposts to make them look less sleep-deprived than they were.

2. The first one. Santana's nice, but I don't think he can compare to the full fury of the elements

3. I was Valencia.

4. Probably fish. They're varied enough so that it wouldn't get monotonous, and he's got the whole racial affectation going on there.

5. Throttle her.

6. MOI: Beechton Valash. Zevka did a good job of making him a thoroughly disposable sleeze.
MOII: The badger. I don't remember his name, nor was he present for most of the story, but his utter callousness and nastiness make up for that

Fern Greenwood

Apologies. Somewhat inspired by my less-than-delightful pair of less-than-tomcats.

1.) Totally makes sense that he'd befriend the cook. Who else on the cast would Vasily have most angled to befriend as being of most use to him in accomplishing his ultimate goal?

2.) That was the least shark-jumping shark-eaten death scene ever. Well done! What other options did you consider?

3.) What, no spraying to mark your territory?

Ohhh! Then I must know you! Let's see...who was in both MO1 and MO2...Gashrock/Ortha, Zevka/Zash, Noony/Luu, Istvan/Lilith. 'Course I never did figure out who Vin was...but I don't think he was in MO1 (otherwise I'd guess you were Vin...though that would be said since he was voted off first in MO2 as well).

I don't think Foxfeather's around, and I don't think you're Jarrtail. I don't think you're Zevka. Perhaps you're Gashy then?

Did you have other apps in the top 30?

Vasily Izhets

I'm still here, I swear!

1. One thing I was really looking forward to but sadly never came to pass was negotiations with Robert. I'm not sure if friendship would've been the ultimate destination of that relationship, but I feel like they'd play off each other very well in the process of representing the opposing factions.

2. Well given how the week ended I didn't have a lot of options, but originally we had Ciera killing Vasily. However, we couldn't actually figure out how to make that consistent with Ciera's character (seemed a bit brutal even for her), so it was scrapped.

3. Probably for the best for everyone, really.

Vizon
1. Oooooooh, so close.

2. Yes, in fact. I was Valencia, whose excellent portrait I never got the chance to thank you for.

Oh! You are Jarrtail. Or at least... I did tell him he should create a humorous character. Still surprising to me. So does this mean you're sticking to Eeyore-type characters from here on out?  ;)

Ha! I was wondering if you were going to remember. Yes, it is I, the creator of the well-known bundles of joy Lilith and Istvan. Vasily was my attempt to follow your advice, though I'm not really sure I did that well with it in the end; Vas ended up tragicomic at best. Alas, it seems that the profile of a true lackadaisical prankster still eludes me; something keep striving for, I suppose.

Vas, I ain't seen ye around fer quite a while, mate! I be 'avin' some questions fer ye. I'll PM 'em ta ye, but thought I'd post 'ere ta let ye know in case ye be comin' round wearin' another name (we know 'ow ye like ta lie about yer real ideniddy, after all, har har!).
