Ye Grand Art Exhibition

So, I don't have a lot of time to be doing art stuff, and it appears my Photobucket account is being held ransom for money (dragging my feet on that because I hate them).

But, I would still like to do some story illustrations, given the time. I was considering doing the deaths, but I think instead I should like to award each round with at least one illustration. Kind of a "best of show" thing. So, out of curiosity, which scenes in the story so far do you all think would be the most fun to see illustrated? What are your "top scenes" that you think would be great fun to see visualized?

Then, even if I never get around to doing it, perhaps another artist will take inspiration from the proffered nominations.

I would say either...Minerva killing the champ, the start of the exhibition for round one. Not to toot my own horn there of course but it was just very... grandiose.Thray and Kents fight was pretty epic as well

Yes, I think maybe Minerva's hook trick might be the most interesting illustration... though it was also fun to picture Komi's escape attempt. Then again, I have a feeling I will have plenty of action scenes to illustrate as the story continues. Maybe the first one really should be something more moving.

So... cast members - what moment do you think you would most like to see illustrated from your round one posts? Which Kali moment, Kali? Is the eye hook moment your personal favorite moment, Minerva? Or would you rather see a tender moment between your character and her daughter? How about the rest of you? Sometimes all I need is a reminder of a good scene.

Let me know! And feel free to throw in your Round 2 favorite moment as well since they seem to all be up there (I think).

Okay, favorite scenes from Round 1... Minerva and the Hammerpaw fight, Kali beaning Silas with the lute, Aldridge attacking Kentrith with the spoon, Marik giving Kentrith a hug.

For my personal Round 1 scene... Something involving the scorpion pit is high on the list, but also one of Komi's fighting moments before she was officially captured by the beasts in blue.

As for Round 2... The tug of war between Min and Komi (or the scorpion fight in our collab post), Kentigern and Aldridge's fight in their collab are the first that come to mind.

If possible, the beginning of the exhibition games. That was really fun to write.

My favorite round 2 moment (and this may be a tad biased  ;D) was the scene right before the perspective shift in my collaboration with Aldridge. I won't name it specifically in case people haven't read it, but if you have I think you'll know what I'm talking about.

For Round 1: Minerva vs. Hammerpaw is a pretty great scene, and I'm hopefully not biased there because most people tend to be agreeing :) Kali seeing the opening of the exhibition matches. Komi in the tunnel with the scorpion. All three could make lovely illustrations.

Round 2: If you want something cool and epic, either Minerva and Komi killing the scorpion or Silas tearing the snake in half. Aldridge and Kent's fight would be a cool scene to draw as well. If you want something more somber, the opening scene of "The Chains that Bind Us," with Minerva and Komi could make for an interesting illustration, but that's partly my own bias coming out again. I'm a sucker for quiet bonding scenes like that. Sly flicking the coin at Blasio would be fun too.

For a cool scene, any of the fight scenes would be cool.  Or the bar scene with Kali singing and Thrayjen, Kentigern and Sly singing along. That was a sweet moment for a few characters, I think. :)

I think my favorite Silas moment in Round one would be the assassination attempt/failure with Kali.

Round two would be the snake battle, of course.

But there are a lot of fun fight scenes. Minerva vs. Hammerpaw is a good one, as has been mentioned. Kentrith taking down the Direbeast. Kentigern + Thrayjen vs. the Beheader and his bro, Thrasher vs. 3 slaves at once, Aldridge vs. Kentigern, Min+Komi vs. scorpion, and let's not forget Sly vs. Blasio and Adeen getting the snot beaten out of her by a mouse.

Part of me also kind of just wants a portrait of Komi looking sad at her slain drum XD

I think I would agree that Komi's escape attempt makes for a good 'cinematic shot' - scorps, cavern, fear!

Second round, I'm absolutely going to hope that you pick Alder / MacRaff's duel. :D

Honestly, though, no scene as of yet has screamed out "THIS MUST BE DRAWN." I'll be back should one of them catch my eye and beg for a visual representation.
