Art and runes

So, I had discussed different fanart ideas with Cobb a couple of weeks ago, and one I thought I'd try my hand at was incorporating different runes into art for the top 10, depending on what the runes symbolized in relation to the character. Since our main NPC and one of the top 10 incorporated them -- and it's set in the Northlands.

Someday, I might try my hand at similarly Norse-styled art itself (but that's usually quite complicated and far outside my normal wheelhouse). For the moment, I chose an almost 'tattoo'-esque stylized look. Still weird for me, so forgive any wonkiness. And, when I can, I tried to make the pose mimic the movement of the rune itself.

(Used the Elder Futhark rune system, and pulled meanings/interpretations from a few online sources.)

So, without further ado... five of the top ten, because my eyes got tired, because I'm an old.

Old One: Othalan - inheritance, heritage, tradition, nobility

Elias: Kaunan - "ulcer", mortality, pain

Zandir: Tiwaz - the god Tyr, sacrifice, victory, honor

Priideep: Jera - good year/harvest (obviously not the last one, though)

Antonia: Uruz - "aurochs" or broadly: strength of will

Fiyero: Fehu - "cattle", or broadly: wealth

Lucan: Hagalaz - "hail", destruction, or in this case: chaos

Novak: Naudhiz - need, unfulfilled desires

Unga: Eihwaz - "yew tree", strength, stability

And, for good measure... Mekai: Raidho - journey, movement, work, growth
