I love how the application asks "will you have problems posting after the 22nd or so" as I will be moving/adjusting to a completely new schedule around the 22nd or so.  :-\ So I'm sort of scared to apply.

This is still true. Somebody convince me to apply, please? :P

If you can be online for at least an hour every day and can devote enough time to meet your intended posting schedule, there shouldn't be any reason for holding back.  You might not be as active on the private forum, assuming there will be one, but if you can maintain contact, go for it.

The absolute worse that can happen is having your application rejected.  If you never apply, you'll never know.

I'd say apply if you think you'll have the time. The posting requirements will be similar to MM, nothing nearly as strenuous as QBV, but obviously there's all the planning and behind the scenes stuff too, which in some ways is just as important as getting the actual posts done. So if you did well with MM's requirements, you'd be just fine here.

I would say "OMG EVERY1 APPLY," but I won't lie, finding subs is rough. :P

In the long run, the odds are good I'll have more freedom with my time (if not free time) than MM. I'm just nervous about the short term/adjusting to a new schedule. But yeah, a few more edits and I think I'll be able to talk myself into applying. Thanks. :)

Out of curiosity, Tara, how long will you and the others be deliberating before the contestants are chosen? (aka When should we start frantically checking our emails after apps have closed?) Also, will you be announcing the contestants/putting up pages (their apps) for them before the story starts or will they be introduced as they each post? It's been a long time since I've seen a contest without a Top 30.

Oh, and Mr. Badger: Go and finish our contest! *pokes* :D

That's always the question, eh, Jarrtail? I suspect that Tara will be hosting these until the grave considering RV4 was supposed to be the last one, and (from what I gather) RV3 was supposed to be the last one before that and so on back.

Well, I'm pushing for the judges to have all their reviews done by the 24th, but it all depends on how many apps get dumped on us at the last second. If it turns out that the majority of people that apply wait until 11:58 PM on the 22nd to submit their apps, I'll probably extend the review time until the 25th. But no later than that. So, assuming everything goes according to plan, the winners should be notified by the 26th. But you never know what could happen. XD

And Jarrtail, I basically just run an RV...whenever I feel like running one. I really thought RV4 would be my last, but then, with the release of the RSGC, I couldn't help but run another round along with that. I was originally going to run RV5 right after MM, but then Redscape came out of nowhere and there was QBV, so I had to wait for a bit. Plus, I'm paying for my hosting now (not much, but it's still money), which is another reason I thought I'd run another round. So...will there be another round? Maybe. Maybe not. That's about the best answer I can give at the moment, I'm afraid. XD
