I'd defend most of Dammy's shifts, myself, but obviously I'm biased. ^.^ I'd just ask that you bear in mind the context when he does each shift. For instance, he'll be blustering and loud to a rival, but horrendously shy to his love. And, well, you might not like the voice, but keep a close eye on it. I'm trying to be subtle and literary with him, not just randomly crazy.

That is definitely a legitimate point/worry, and I'm sorry that I have to say anything at all, but I must say that it is quite hard to break a way of living, particularly if you've learned your entire life to rely on such a thing as fighting.  So, when he's in a stressful situation, he's going to go back to what he knows best. 

That being said, though, he will change... just, gradually.
