Judging Period and A Very Important Announcement!

Applications are now technically closed. However, there have been several people expressing need for more time to apply, what with this being a stressful time at school and suchlike. While it wouldn't be fair to the admins waiting to start contests after this one to hold it up with another extension, what I am going to do is this. It's a bit unconventional, but bear with me.

Judges will have until next Sunday, October 23rd (mah burpday, woohoo) to complete their scores. During this week, I will still also take any last-minute applications you may have. As I am not counting on a whole slew to come pouring in, I don't think it will add any last-minute stress to the judges. And I really would like to give absolutely everyone that wants to apply the chance to do so.

So if you're going, "Oh darn, just missed it!" You didn't! Not quite. You've got another week. And if you've already applied once or twice, you can still send off more applications this week. And I would strongly recommend that you consider this. There are more than 8 authors applying, so the more applications you write, the better your chances will be, especially if you applied for one of the fuller categories. C'mon, people, show that crow category some love! :)

Aaaand apps are closed! Great work, people! I'm going to figure out the best way of doing some sort of audience vote (it will likely involve a mixture of judges' choice and audience voting for the rest, a la...well, the last two contests) and get that up by the end of the day tomorrow.
