Yes, it looks like curtains for Survival. I have copies of all the contests saved on my computer. Rommily was going to walk me through the transfer process, but she seems to either be busy or without Internet or both. This weekend I think I'll just call up customer service for the domain provider and have them walk me through it. So it won't be much longer now.

Double post woo!

So I have never, ever, ever done anything with domain names before, but I THINK I did it right? Unfortunately it says it could take up to 48 hours to activate a forwarded domain. So! If something goes bork in the next two days, you'll know why. Heh. Hopefully I won't have killed anything, though. Just wish I didn't have to wait quite so long to find out! :)

On the plus side, it looks like the url now re-directs here. On the negative side, the old page is entirely gone, meaning that I have no clue where else the MM2 story is aside from FF.net, and consequently don't know where to put my epilogue in progress as well as when it's completed.

Don't want to rush anyone least there's a lot of other stuff going on, as I'm sure there is. Just wanted to voice a concern.

No worries. My next project (once I figure out how to make subdomains redirect) will be to put up copies of all the missing stories. I know the Herald is hosting Lockdown, but I will probably put up a PDF or DOC file of it on the wiki, at the very least, for people who are just interested in reading it. And in case the Herald goes poof at some point. Who knows.

Okay. Just double posting to say that the domain change is coming very soon! The ever helpful Rommily did pretty much everything. As soon as Swifthost does their thang, we'll be in business. Whee! Sorry it took so long, but most of my webmaster experience has pretty much been self taught, and this was something I was completely unfamiliar with. :)

Hooray for Rommy! I've tweaked a couple of things with the theme (mainly so it no longer says "RedVenture Forums"), but what I'm eventually going to do is upgrade the forums to SMF 2.0 and get a brand new theme. It just looks a whole lot cleaner than 1.0. I've used SMF 2.0 for the Elytra forums, and I'm really pleased with it so far.
