For those of you who just can't get enough Redwall survivory goodness, there is currently another contest already in process, Redscape, which can be found at http://z3.invisionfree.com/Redscape/index.php?act=idx.  It's an all vermin survivor contest that takes place in the ruins of the vermin island city of Evnakt, which was reduced from a thriving trade hub to wreckage by the twin disasters of a massive seastorm and the outbreak of a mysterious disease that kills some of its victims and drives others into madness.  To make things worse, a disgruntled ex-Redwaller named Marcion, displeased with the Abbey's increasingly live-and-let-live attitude, has raised his own private army and invaded Evnakt, hoping to conquer it, drive the vermin out and turn it into a woodlander fortress.   Ten of Marcion's prisoners escape from him, however, and are thrown into a quest for a mysterious weapon that may have the potential to turn the tide of the continuing war of attrition between Marcion's followers and the remaining inhabitants of Evnakt.  Some of the ten are searching for this weapon, racing against both Marcion and a secret contingent of Long Patrol hares sent to steal the weapon from both the vermin and Marcion, while others join the fight to save the city.  We had a slow start due to repeated cast changes and other issues, but things are picking up again now, and the second vote is almost upon us.

Redscape has some slightly unorthodox rules.  The content rules are much looser than many of these contests, with the content level set around PG-13 or so.  Another is that rather than have the death post at the end of the week, the death post will come in the middle of the next week, so you never know who's going to die until the post is actually read.  The story is still at an early enough stage that it can be easily picked up by new readers, so come check out Redscape at  http://z3.invisionfree.com/Redscape/index.php?act=idx.
