Yeah, the Redwall Survivor Scene has sort of started to... die. Our original community has simply started to get too old or too busy to keep running and participating in them. So, if anyone knows any writers that might be interested, please spread the word that this is happening.

Chak's name is. . .strange, but only for the fact that there's an apostrophe. I've been seeing a lot of apostrophes in names for other fantasy stuff that it just seems strange in a Redwall story. But hey, it'll ALL make since if it's a lizard of some kind, which I am hoping it will be  ;)

And Hisobe. He's gotta be a ninja. Ninja mouse who was imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit....he was set up, I tell you!

 Remember there is a Chak in Destroyermen. But he is a monkey cat creature thing...in a world of dinosaurs flying zeplins...so points to the writer if he figures out how to incorperate that into the story :D

His last name though sounds like Cruel so Im going to guess that he is the slaver beast!

Also it makes me sad that such a fun concept is loosing support :c

I added more names to the list and updated the category spreadsheet accordingly. It seems as if the Corsairs are getting all the love, so if you all want a bigger shot of getting in, send in some apps to the Waverunner side. There's only a little over a week left to apply, but that's still plenty of time to get some more in!

Since we have people guessing the stories, I'm going with my favorite name to date:  Jack "Jackal" Lightfoot

I'll make my wild guess that he's a burglar / pickpocket who decided to liberate the wrong vermin's purse.  Maybe even the corsair's Captain.  Funnier if it's a jackal.  Imagining the facial expression would be the highlight of the first round.

I'm considering possibly writing another application up, here, but what if both apps get in on the Contest? 0-0 Would I be expected to play both characters?

Think they give you the choice of which character you prefer writing of the ones that win.  The second place finisher in the other group gets to play in the category you rejected.  As an example, if you win the role of lady in distress and the town drunk, you decide which you'll do.  The second place finisher in the category you reject is declared the winner for that character.

But yeah, what Cairn said here is pretty much what I'll probably do. Let's just say you applied for a Cook and a Healer and during the top 30 phase, both of your characters managed to win the vote, then I'll PM you and ask which character of the two you would prefer to write as. Whichever character you don't choose, the second placer from that category will be declared the winner instead.

Aaaagh, I'm working on it. I have three that are more or less ready to go, but I'm in that awkward phase where I have to decide, do I want to risk applying as a vermin and be awesome but risk potentially missing out on the contest all together, or do I want to be a woodlander and have much better odds, but with a character I probably will enjoy less?
