For those of you who didn't make it through: well done! You made the top thirty and, in my humble opinion, all of the entries carried a worthy character at their core. Wear your Vizon avatars with pride (I know I love my badger and squirrel top-thirty flunkies) and help support contest writers.

Please, Please, PLEASE stick with us throughout. I've said it before, but your input (reviews, discussions, etc) can help shape the story. And you never know if someone might drop out before the first posts go up.

Oh, yes, please do. We'd all love to hear your thoughts on our characters and the story we've all got planned for you all. It's certainly going to be a doozy.

I joke of course. For the most part I plan to vote based on the stories needs rather than characters I dislike. Even if I like the character if I feel their death scene would add to the story then I am going to vote as such. For the most part at least. You know what they say about the best laid plans ;)

And even though I am an amature writer (and didn't get into the contest XD) that doesn't mean that I don't have some last minute advice to give our contestants!

One: First and for most, write to entertain yourself first, then others. Yes, this is a contest. Yes, if readers don't like your character they will most likely vote them off. But keep in mind that YOU are vollenteering to entertain US the readers. If you lose you joy for being in the contest it WILL show and your character is not likely to get as far as you would like.

Two: Use discernment when taking advice from others. Excluding me of course, I'm correct all the time <.<. We had some good reviewers offering some good advice for improving our writing. But everyone has a different opinion on where the story should go.

For example, I like humor. I like characters who think through problems and I do not like senseless violence, especially from heroes. I also have a tender spot in my heart for snarky characters and gluttonous or heavy set characters who are not intended for comic relief.

NOT EVERYONE SHARES MY VEIW.

It may benifit you more to pay attention to tips on writing mechanics to make your writing flow more smoothly than to try and make everyone happy but that does not mean that ypu ignore everyones opinion either. Just be aware of what the general opinion is of your character.

And in the end, your goal is have a good time and do your best. Otherwise, again. It will be noticed that you are writing your character soley on the opinions of others and your character wont go far :)

and in the end even if everyone makes alts that everyone enjoys, one person is still being voted off each week. So enjoy writing your character while you can, and we will too.

I haven't seen many people admit to which character's from the final 30 that didn't make it to the final 10 were their's yet. Either a lot of people had multiple apps, some of which made top 10 and don't want to reveal their hand for those who may scruitinize the writing style, or else people are deflated after the review process that they don't want to identify with the "rejects." Maybe most of the chatter just moved to the contestant's forum as we look forward to the next chapter in this adventure.

Regardless, my app didn't pass the vote round, which means I'm ready to flaunt. Which thread is the "here we go to die" thread again, for characters that have been cut? I thought I saw something like that going on, but I've overlooked it since. Or should I just start a new thread (I hate making things messy). I'd imagine, out of the 20 others from the final 30 there's at least a few who wish to kill their character's hopes and dreams (or reward them with everything the ever dreamed of, whatever).

I was prewriting a scene to help me continue getting into character, but alas the votes weren't in my favor. I went ahead and finished it off, with some hindsight additions, and I want to showcase my character, since this is my first foray into the Redwall universe. By the way, are there any other non-contest style group-written RPs going on around here? Because I didn't kill my character, just left him on an open-ended alehouse-crawl. We could start up some kind of "Lost" style purgatory thing were every voted off character comes and joins him for an ale! (just kidding).

Im actually waiting to see if someone did indeed, get two of their characters into  the game before revealing my alt. I very much doubt that will happen, so in a day or two I'll reveal who I voted for and the application I got into the final 30 :3

In the mean time though, what is all this crazy talk of rp? D: I would very much like to use Jackal or Tali or even <redacted> in something somewhere...even if its only a short story detailing their horrible and tragic end.
