Hey, everyone, thanks for your patience. Round One will officially begin on Monday, June 15. It will last for two weeks and will end on Monday, June 29th at 11:59 EST. In that time, each contestant will write two posts. Thanks :)

Hooray! Will the first post(s) go up on the 15th or will the forums poof alive so authors can post when they're able? Should we expect another intro post or is it straight into contestant content?

Also (sorry for the million questions) do you have pinning powers, Airan? A top-of-the-forum announcement thread like this will really help keep deadlines straight as the contest rolls along. Know I checked MOII's a million times as a writer. Saves a headache digging through the general chatter.

Potentially. We're still struggling pinning down a couple of our schedules, so the first posts might come around Tuesday more likely, but otherwise the forums will be alive. The contestants will begin posting, I'm pretty much done with the intro scenes, though I might write a few other chapters here and there when I'm needed.

Okay, the first post is officially live. Sorry for the delay, everyone. Remember that the first round will officially end on June 29th. Thanks for your patience! :)

After some specific issues behind the scenes (internet outages, contestants traveling, etc) I've decided, after much deliberation, to extend Round 1. Instead of ending on Monday, June 29th, it will now end on Wednesday, July 1st. at 11:59 PM EST Thanks for understanding :)

Just a quick announcement to say that voting is NOT up yet. We ran into a last minute plot inconsistency that we're needing to fix in one of the posts, so please hold your voting until this is finished and the post has been made live. It shouldn't take much longer. Thank you so much :)

Okay, Voting for Week 1 is now officially open and will last from this moment to Friday, July 3rd 11:59 PM EST. Please PM me your vote for your Least Favorite Character of the ten remaining contestants. The character with the most votes will be killed off from the competition and the remaining nine will advance to the next round.

Also, if you would like, you may also supply a reasoning for why you voted for that character. When I share the results with them, I will also PM each of them these messages- which will be anonymous- if they receive them so that they may realize what their faults are, and what they should try to improve on. And remember, this is optional.

Lastly: A little bit of fun. I've decided that it would be fun if there was a sort of fun category to vote on as well. For this round: the category will be Favorite Post Title. Obviously there's a lot of posts this round, so you may vote for three different titles that you thought went well with what happened during them, or you just simply liked for whatever reasons. These results will be shared publicly so that everyone can see :)

Alright, with all that said. I hope all you readers have fun voting for the first round. We'll be eagerly anticipating the results.

Alright, the first death has officially been made live. Sorry for the delay. This of course means, that as of this posting, Round 2 has officially begun. It will last from today, July 8th, to next Wednesday, July 15th, 11:59 PM. During this time, the contestants will each write a minimum of one post. Thank you.

Sorry, I'm really not meaning for this to become a regular occurrence, nor do I plan on it becoming one, but due to some issues behind the scenes, I'm once again going to extend the deadline. The deadline will now be on Friday July 17th, at 11:59 pm. I apologize once more, but I do hope you all understand. Thanks :)

Voting for Round 2 is now open. It will last from this moment to Sunday, July 19th at 11:59 PM. During this time, please PM me your vote for your least favorite character of the nine remaining contestants. The character with the most votes will be killed off from the competition while the remaining eight will advance.

Just like last time, you may also supply your reasoning behind your vote if you would like and I will give these reasonings to the contestants so that they may try to fix any criticisms you may have about them.

Lastly, the Secondary Voting Category for this round will be: Favorite NPC. Vote for whichever NPC you believe has been the best developed and is the most interesting to read about.
