Dunno why but the scarf is so very appropriate. He even has the "no worries, luv" smile on his face and eyes. Really captured my vision of daddy hedgepig well, Airan.

I originally did it just to better translate the wind effect, but I started liking it more and more as I kept working on it. Like Robert, scarves are warm and comforting. A perfect fit if you ask me.

Beautiful work, Airan. Love the glow from the fire. Rob came out awesome too. Are those flower petals blowing around him? Roses for "Rosequill" perhaps? Or do they hold some other symbolic property?

Yeah, they're flower petals, but instead of roses, they're violets. I had to incorporate his family into the portrait somehow and I figured that that would be a fun little way to do it :)

Oh, I love it! Fantastic work! I love how the fire is burning behind her and she's facing away from it, but she's looking backwards. Very metaphorical, especially given her most recent post.

Also, love the twinkle of fire in her eye. I think you nailed Vera's character in this one. Great job!

I'm so glad you caught that. While it wasn't totally my original intent (I've had this pose in mind for Vera for a while now) I do think that it does work well with her most recent post, and really highlights how she's moved as a character.

Been meaning to do this for a while but was never really bored enough to do it until now, just did a little bit of editing on Atlas' portrait so he wasn't inconsistent with the rest of them:
