Nallmian

Nallmian was my only application for MM.  I had an idea for another app, a vulpine theocrat type, but ultimately scrapped the idea without making an app for it.  I remember being really worried about the fact that some of the early critics really seemed to dislike him, but I must have done something right.  Still, I remember being really surprised to get in.

QuoteYeah. I'm definitely going to be one of those annoying ones who submit just on the deadline

Same here Wolverine

I submitted mine...I'm a bit worried, though. On the "read your application over carefully" part it only showed the first paragraph. And the thing is, I really like that app. It would be a shame if it didn't go through.

Nallmian

I just sent in mine, too, albeit via conventional email to the gmail address.  I prefer to have a "sent folder" copy of everything I send out.

If that is allowed, it makes sense.  If the rules specify all applications are to go through the site, then REGARDLESS of how good your character, it MUST be trashed.

Now I did check the application form and there is no rule stating the form is the only acceptable means, so now the contest administrator must make a ruling.  Are applications acceptable if they are submitted through other channels?

Is Tara sending a confirmation email? I'm a little paranoid that my app won't go through, what with it being the day before and all.

Balmafula

Good question, actually.  I'm expecting a lot of people to send in apps at the last minute.  Do you think it might be toasty to post a list of received characters just so that we can breathe (a little) easier until results are posted?

Dozystoat

Just poke her on AIM and ask to make sure she got it! 's wot I did. XD

Ah. Problem though. I don't have AIM. I don't download, if I can help it.

saffy

Who else is submitting their apps at the last minute?  :P I can't help it though, I've just been so busy...

Is there going to be a "failed applications" thread? I hope so. :)

That's a standard thing with survivor contests.

They're quite fun, too. Some of the failed apps on Redscape were rather good, and it was very enjoyable reading them.

IPlanToBiteYou

That could be interesting...
(i may implode if my guaranteed failure goes up in front of all, as it would be more than a little embarrassing :P)

I still don't know how Obadiah made the cut in the RV4 thirty. I suspect there were secretly only three vole apps.  ;)

Well I liked Obadiah, hence why I kind of snuck him into one of my flashbacks.  :P

Imagine if they used the rule in QB-2.  Our limit was 500 words.  The administrator cut off anyone's application that exceeded that length at the first punctuation mark following the 500th word.

Can remember lots of howling over that announcement.
