New names ahoy!  I shall now comment:

Baker - Isn't this usually a last name?  Ah well, I reserve judgment.

Barnes Whittleflit - Makes me think of a hobbit for some reason.

Croup - Interesting choice naming your character after a respiratory disease.  I wanna hear more about this one.

Grarrrg Gerrh - ... Best. Name. Ever.  I really want to see this one so much now XD

Gregory - Didn't you cause enough trouble in MM? :P

Keane - Hrm.  I like this one.  Can't say why, just... nice.  Wonder if it's male or female? And what species.

Rath the Whirlwind - Another title name, although this one sounds more like some kind of warlord.  Come to think of it, it's interesting that you don't see more of them in these contests, really.  Hopefully not a twink, if that's the case, 'cause it'd be cool to see a well-played warlord in one of these.

Right! That should be all the names up. If you don't see yours up here, it either got buried in my email somewhere and I missed it, or I didn't get it. Let me know right away if you don't see your name here!

That sounds horribly like my sister. I bought Pokemon Platinum fer myself and played it and then she wanted to play it but I'd already done so, so I had to reset the cartridge only I had bred a bucketload of Cyndaquils and didn't want to lose them, so we rented another copy of the game and kidnapped our little brother's DS and even though I told her I wanted to keep my guy's name the same so when she was done the main plotline and I played it again I'd be more or less the same person, she went and deleted my guy and named him Rhys! Argh. Now if I want to play it again I'll have to go around thinking I'm some sickly sage. Siblings. Pff.

... I babble when I'm nervous.

Forty-bloomin'-two? Way to half our chances, everyone! I say 21 was a lovely number to pick from. ;_;

Alternatively: Written by a Torchwood fan. Though why you would name your charrie after a plump fiance when there are so many cooler charries is beyond me. ;P

Or was that Cap'n Ashpaw already? XD

For some obscure reason most of the names remind me of squirrels.  I'm not quite sure why.
May you live in interesting times.

New names and my first impression:

Baker = I'm thinking mole or hare with a kitchen setting.

Barnes Whittleflit = definitely a hare.  They seem to always have the longest and strangest series of names.

Croup = Isn't that something babies get that keeps them crying for far too many nights?

Grarrrg Gerrh = definitely a vermin, wildcat and probably male.

Keane = Don't know why, but I'm thinking bird.

Rath the Whirlwind = vermin, evil, and one looking to make a lot of trouble.

Rhys = I'm thinking my rat daughter is here.  Are you Rystan?

Gran Goretail = vermin is obvious, but the species and sex eludes me.  I'm leaning to fox since their tails are so gran-d.

Just had a thought about The Promise of Rain--was the writer assuming this set in the desert? A name like that would have significant connotations where water was scarce...

...and would make things all the funnier if it's not actually in the desert. :P

Cairn Destop

I overlooked these names.

Cyrus = reminded me of a contestant in QB-2.

Weylan Thomas = a crybaby, and a woodlander, most likely a youngster or late teen.

Whiver Bean = female, somebody who travels a lot, thinking squirrel

Hazenval = somebody who loved the book "Pearls."  If you break it down, it sounds like "hazing veil."  So which woodlander disliked Veil in the book?

PotentialContestant

You mean "Outcast of Redwall"?

Well... most of them disliked Veil. It was the Friar he tried to poison, so that would be a good bet.
