I just assumed it was 'cause there aren't ten characters, but still 8 weeks so in order to make it equal there would be no week one death.  *shrug*

Hey, if there are any extra fan artists around here, check out Redscape at http://z3.invisionfree.com/Redscape/index.php?act=idx.  We don't really have an "official" artist yet, but we'd love to have one.  And yes, the second round, after three weeks, is ALMOST done.

I applaud your efforts. Just because you suggested it, I checked out the forum.

And the first thing I see is a TEAM FORTRESS 2 reference.

Fanart for the win = plausible.

Yesssssssssssssssssss...a quick little sketch, just a small nod of appreciation for Antonio's cunning use of TF2. PFFT, it's actually quite awful, so don't look at his toes. Or feet. Or legs. Or...eyebrow acting skills.

I was just teasin!  The point is that it's not really all that terrible at all.

Errr... I don't know where you got the idea, but it's not really a tradition for there to be no death in the first week in any contest. The first week is usually a time for everyone to post twice, and sometimes takes longer than a week because of this, but there's usually a death at the end. The only reason RV4 didn't have one at the end of Week 1 was because we had to bring in a new character halfway through it, but there was a double elimination in Week 2 to make up for this.

In fact, I struggle to think of survivor contests that haven't had a death at the end of the first week.

Oh, there's two posts/person in Week One and no death?  Okay, I think a lot of people thought it was one post/person for week one, and that this was the equivalent of how things were done in Midnight Mossflower and Redscape.  This is actually three posts before death rather than two, then, right?

Ulrick Hammerpaw

Err...

Week 1: Two posts per person, one death at the end
Every other week: As many posts as the contestants manage, death vote at the end.

Pretty sure that's how most have worked.

Nah. It's standard, usually. That way everyone gets a chance to post twice without fear of death. Helps the story move forward faster, I believe.

Since the first death vote comes at the end of the week, the death happens in week two.  Duh --- logic.

Foxpen's style is very similar to that used on the internet comic strip "Inherit the Earth."  The posture has all the morphs walking on the balls of their feet instead of the heels as humans walk.  According to their forum, this style is quite common in authro pictures.

The flat heel style is a more human based and is frequently used in cartoons, such as Bugs Bunny.  Think that is why some find the picture so unnatural.  In reality, it is the flat-footed characters that are humanized.

I guess I should put my dA up too:

I mostly do human stuff. And I just got copic markers. XDDD

Goodness, Gunny! I'da known you were that good I would've made you do a second set of official pics for TED.

Inherit the Earth: is the best adventure game ever, because it has a village full of ferrets wearing orange vests. I never actually played it past that bit, but it was awesome enough for me. And I must say, I've always pictured them walking on the pads/balls of their feet, too. F'r instance (extract from a VI post o' mine):
QuoteIt was difficult to balance on flat feet. Everybeast knew you walked on your toes, more or less. Clowns didn't. Clowns learned to walk on their flats, their claws flapping about inside their giant boots. They had to lean forward to keep their balance; this made them all the more comical.

Nobeast liked a clown.

For me, it all depends on what animal it is. If it's a plantigrade animal (like squirrels and mustelids), it walks with heels. If it's digitigrade (foxes), it walks on the toes.
