Well, I do admire its simplicity.  Having him die from the poisoned bite of the lizard was a good idea.  The wiggling tail was a good use of animal mannerisms.  And how many reading the death post noticed the plural near the end?

Can we please stop spoiling things? I'm two weeks behind AT LEAST, probably three. The last death I read was Damask's, so keep that in mind. I'd like this thread to go at my pace, and I was simply commenting on the title.

Damask is very much alive.  At least as of the start of Week Five.  Rath is the character voted out of the contest.

Thank you, Cairn  :D. If Rath hadn't posted fatality I would have guess that Damask had died.
I wonder how he's going to get out of this pickle - looking forward to finding out. And that flashback was really nice and informative. Now we know a little bit of his past.

Glad you liked it. I didn't want to dip into flashback-world too much, and I certainly wanted to do it differently than I had seen it done before, but he is an old bird, so I have a lot of backstory to work with if I feel like it.

(And, our first plan was that I was going to post right before Rath with this, which would have been great to read the reactions: two deaths? Oh noes!) ^.^

Well, I did plan out his development as if I were going to last the whole contest (Mostly 'cause I've seen people flounder in the last weeks for new ideas, not 'cause I'm overconfident). So, yes. His cracking will come soon. ^.^
