Yeah, I enjoyed that title also. :)
No s? si la guerra ha terminado
O se han olvidado de m?...
Como un topo, sin nadie alrededor
Bajo el suelo, como un topo, sin ver la luz del sol

Eliza Lacrimosa

Glad you guys liked it!

(And, did you catch it? In the post, she's sitting by a fire? Uh? Uh? :p )
She walks in beauty, like the night
of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
meet in her aspect and her eyes...

~Lord Byron

Totally still working on the RV5 epilogue, I swear...

FIRE!!!

*runs*

LOL.  I thought your character loved getting burned.

I understand this is a joke, however, I do wish to clear the air in the event of misconceptions.

Meadowbrook doesn't like getting burned. She just likes burning.

However, she won't run away from a flame, so the one running is obviously Sycamore. Or Sandrose.

Venril, if you want to survive, you're really going to have to step it up. Your last post was really lackluster and filled with grammatical and spelling errors. First sentence:

Quote from: VeniVenril scowled as Liza suddenly ran away to go chase down Damask and sooth his hurt feelings.

Sooth? What is that? A sooty tooth?

Quote from: VidiVenril realizedthat he wasn?t doing a particularly excellent job of rescuing Liza.

That's the third sentence.

Quote from: Vici?News travels fast ?mong ?ordebeasts, sir.  We knew ya ?n? the stripeyface were gonna scrap sooner or later.  Didn? think ye had it in ye, Cap?n?.?

...

The vermin assembled their gear and began to follow Venril, Switchtail walking next to the stoat.  ?Bit surprised at ye, Cap?n Venril.  Didn?t think ye had it in ye to take down Verand.?

Did you forget you wrote that earlier? And "stripeyface"? I suppose it's good to know Verand was a sable ferret, but he was too respected amongst the hordebeasts to be called something derogatory like that.

My recommendations to make Venril cool and not lame is to ditch the romance. Now. When Venril is asserting himself, he's awesome. I like the interactions you have with his crewbeasts, it's nicely done. However, every time you mention Eliza, he becomes a whiny, angst-ridden pubescent teenager. I don't even know why you're still going on about it. With three deaths under his belt, I don't think there's any room for him to regress, and that's exactly what he's doing. Everything you've developed is thrown in the garbage when thoughts of Eliza enter his head. I say drop it. Venril is smart enough to know when something is destructive, and this is destructive.
And then he DIED!!!

Something tells me that what we have seen is all we are going to get out of our contestants until the final three are announced.  My opinion, two are a quaranteed lock to make the finals.  The other two must, as Sycamore stated, step up their game plan.

Venril's writing this week really suffered from SPAG and the overt angst.  Yet I can remember the angst tactic working in past contests, but not so late in the game.  Since Venril can correct these errors, leaving them can be dangerous.  Though I admit changing it could backfire too.

Revel also worries me.  Her character is poised for the old "lady or tiger" mode.  Dependent on the voting, we will either see her death or her emergence.

In all honesty, I'm surprised by the small number of posts by our contestants.  It magnifies errors that might be overlooked if a stronger post were presented.

The reason the angst tactic is not working for Venril is because at this point his character should be above it. If he drops it, which I strongly recommend, the only way it could backfire is if he outright ignores it instead of playing it off.

I thought the voting starts tomorrow.  Doesn't give much time to upload.

Aye. But we're not slacking behind the scenes, just being a bit picky about certain things to make the next posts flow together smoothly. It will be quite a bit for the audience to read all in one go. Apologies for waiting until the last moment to get everything up, sir. Do keep in mind that voting lasts for a few days, though. No need to vote one of us for death immediately after it goes up. :)

Wait a minute. What's this about voting? I thought this was a free week.
And then he DIED!!!

Syc! Bad! Read the Voting thread! :P

Quote from: meeeeeeOh, forgot to mention this, but week six voting'll be December 11-13.

It was week five that was the free week, but only because Damask left. I didn't want to have a double elim so late in the game, so instead of having Damask leave AND someone voted out, I just cancelled voting last week and had Damask's departure act as the weekly elimination. But things are back to normal this week.

We have a voting thread?

Umm... Veni, work your magic.

Isn't this the second or third time you've forgotten when voting was? Man, read the thread!  ;D

Yeah, at least twice.  I thought senility set in at my age.
