Thanks for the review.  I feel the proportion of new to revised material was somewhat higher than what you said, but yes, I guess the overall point still stands.  I think overall, though, everyone's level of plot advancement is going to be much easier from next week on.  A lot of people were a little uncertain about the early stages of the plot, but now there's a lot more clearly defined plot advancement that can be done from different perspectives.

Dozystoat

Hoi! I'm reading but I'm a bit quiet because I'm a lazy sod. I just wanted to hijack Syc's thread to say that he's a doofy-brain, and also I like the story so far.

HEY LOOK! IT'S THE ELUSIVE DOZYSTOATFOOT! GET THE CAMERA!  :D

Eliza Lacrimosa

Don't bother, Jarr! Everyone knows the Dozystoatfoot has a secret magical force-field which makes him blurry in every photograph.  :P
She walks in beauty, like the night
of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
meet in her aspect and her eyes...

Totally still working on the RV5 epilogue, I swear...

Interesting.  Damask has posted during the voting session.  Either he feels there is a need to demonstrate his talent or there was a mistake and this should have been the first posting for the third week.  Didn't we have the same thing happen at the end of Week One?

"Either he feels there is a need to demonstrate his talent or there was a mistake and this should have been the first posting for the third week."

Or... I wanted to keep writing the story.

The format of the contest doesn't have to overrule the pace of the story, Cairn. I would post after voting was over, if it meant keeping the ball rolling. Especially after last week's fallout, where people got tired of waiting five days for the plot to pick back up.

And if I'm gone, then I get to do three this week, I guess. ^.^

And then he DIED!!!

I love the role reversal here. It should be the vermin who's the one cheating, and the goodbeast who's upset about it!

Rath, you crazy beastie. Make some sense.
And then he DIED!!!

Jarrtail

It's quite nice, I think. Rath has some sense of honor.

Damask, I want to say some things about your last post.

You are so cute. I'll admit, I wasn't too keen on Damask because he wasn't captivating me as much as some of the other characters. Your prose is magnificent; I really do enjoy reading it, but Damask as a character never quite held up as some of the others. You pretty much just turned my viewpoint completely around. I'm so excited to see what you do with this.

I also want to mention how I've noticed your musical nature has been creeping in to these posts. It really makes me giddy every time I see a word I learned playing an instrument.

You're like, so awesome right now.
And then he DIED!!!

Cairn Destop

I'll make this suggestion in the public forums and hope Tara sees it.

Considering the comments about the end of the last two weeks, Revel's post in Week One that was suppose to be in Week Two and Damask's comment about not wanting the story to stagnate, why not open the new week at the same time as the voting begins?

That way the contestants can keep the story going if that is their wish and at the same time, once the cast knows who bought the farm, they can either upload their death post immediately or if its somebody who has already posted, they can do a double posting.

That may be so, but I fail to see the trouble with more posts at the end of the week.  Does it really make a difference?

Hmm. That's an interesting idea, but I dunno. I'm kind of a traditionalist when it comes to these things, and the death post is traditionally at the end of the week. It sort of makes the end of the week have a little more finality, I think. I know Redscape has kind of shaken it up, but I noticed just last week their death post didn't come until a week after they'd been voted out, strangely. While it'd be interesting to try, I think forcing the death post at the end keeps the writers on their toes, and sometimes they have to change tactics at the drop of a hat.

It's strange because I think this is the first RV where there have been new posts put up during voting (this many, anyway). I'm not used to all this overachieving. XD

Well, if that's the case, don't expect anymore reviews from me.  I have slices of time, not huge chunks and if you pile on everything all at once the only thing I'll be able to do is read.

Rath the Whirlwind

Yes, but then won't you have extra time either way?

Either more posts at the beginning or the end.

I'm not trying to cause trouble.  Only saying, its still the same amount of posts in the end.
