Actually, that's a reference to Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.  It's the first song.

The interspecies romance in this story offends me.
And then he DIED!!!

Damask the Minstrel

*continues to offend*

Define romance, Sick-Syccie. Dammy's just wooin'. ^.-

Well, Damask is fine, actually. Venril, though...

Quote from: Veni?Yes, but I?m a stoat!  That?s pretty close to a marten.  You have feathers and a beak and?and??The stoat shook his head.  ?What would a bird and a stoat even...even do.?

With thoughts like that, he obviously wants something a little more than a simple woo.

*Edit- Wait a minute... "What would a bird and a stoat even...even do." ???

Methinks Veni's taking quite a shine to Damask, and he's confused and alarmed by this.

I take back my previous statement. The interspecies romance in this story amuses me.

Damask the Minstrel

... XD

Very true. Give the guy a break, though. She's noble, taller than him, and is showing "interest" in the stoat-boy. I can't imagine he got much action back home as a clerk, so it's only natural he'd... err... broaden his horizons.

I hadn't noticed that. Oh deary me.

Thank you, Syc. So much. You have no idea how much you just made my day brighter.

Cricket Argyll

To be fair, Syc, I happen to remember a little lady sea otter (Enhydra lutris) and a fine gypsy otter (Lutra lutra) who had a thing going in a desert not so far away. =P

Damask, it's that time of year. My foliage is dropping, and I don't provide nearly as much shade as I used to.

And oh, ho, ho! Miss Cricket marm, you may be right, however! While Sandrose started as a Enhydra lutris at the story's inception, she ended as a Lutra lutra. This was due to a huge discussion with Mistress Lilac, who was able to convince me that sea otters in Redwall are in fact river otters that live by the sea (a fact that I was unaware of). So in essence, I changed Sandrose's species in the middle of the story. Quite a character development, if you ask me. I can't think of many other survivor characters that actually undergo species changes.

So Kaja and Sandrose's romance will always remain pure.

WhawhawhaWHAAAAA?!?

Okay, that was supposed to be asking about a bird and a marten.  That was a total typo.  Sorry. I went back and corrected it in-post just so people aren't confused.

Oh mylanta, I did not even notice that! BWAHAHAH! That's even worse than if a male stoat and a male marten... **cough** ;)

What would they do indeed? XD
