Ah, the perils of not knowing what on earth you're doing...
kind of like my algebra class  :P

Gasp! Whew. That swim to shore was a rough one, and it doesn't help to have a huge waterlogged ballast attached to your butt.

In all seriousness, my apologies for being away so long! I went through a . . . transition of sorts. But you know how it is. Once you're away for so long, you don't want to come back unless you have something of merit to show, and that's why I haven't shown my face until I had a proper Fanfiction post to put up.

Let me start off by hugging Jarrtail for being awesome and writing a post! Woo!

And yes, Sycamore, you can most definitely offer a character! I'll devise some format in the next few minutes, using myself as an example.

Before I go any further, I wish to offer my deepest thanks to the contestants. Thank you for actually incorporating Birch into the story! I am completely humbled by your graciousness, and yes, I do indeed want my hammer.

Now, as for the Fanfiction, I'm almost back on track, now! I still have to catch up with Week Two, but it should be easily managed, and hopefully I'll have another post up in a few days. Greenfang! You should PM me with contact information so we can PLOT THINGS behind the contestants' backs. I'd do it but I'm LAZY. I know that I didn't necessarily start a new thing between us, just ended what was started, but I'm attempting to catch up with the story first. Reviews first, action second! Is that a good format? Expect another Fanfiction post in the next few days!

Thank you very much, Miss Birch. I hope to get another post up presently.

But I'll give you a character! How do you want the format? Bio, history, description, all that jazz?

Ach! And by few minutes I DEFINITELY MEANT a day or two.

I think I'm going to take a page out of the characters' physical description thread and put this up:

General Physical Description (height, physique, etc):
Accessories (jewelry, etc):
Clothing:
Preferred style of character drawing (mostly-animal, mostly-human, 50/50, etc):
Headfur?:

Now I'll give an example using me! However, since you're not writing anything, I'll include a mentality thing so we can get a general idea of how to play your character:

Mentality: Birch has aggression problems and talks too much.

General Physical Description (height, physique, etc): Birch is an average sized female squirrel, rufescent in color. She's rather lithe and muscular, living an active lifestyle of tree-climbing and blackmithing and her physique reflects this. She does not mind getting her paws dirty.

Accessories (jewelry, etc): The only thing Birch prizes is an oversized mallet. It has a squarish head and a wooden handle wrapped with off-white bandages. She keeps her mallet in a belt at her waist. Because of the weight of the instrument, the belt sits at an angle, making her look more cute.

Clothing: She keeps herself comfortable in the heat of a forge, wearing a short tank top with slits at the side, baring her midriff, and large pants with similar slits on the outside of the pant legs. Top is a green shade, bottoms maybe another green shade or something different, I dunno, whatever looks best.

Preferred style of character drawing (mostly-animal, mostly-human, 50/50, etc): ALL animal

Headfur?: Heavens, no!

Jarrtail! *flops* You do one too!

Alright...
Mentality: Greenfang's attitude could be described as "tired." He's seen many horde leaders before, and isn't very impressed with this one. He is consistently annoyed with his simple-minded comrades, and will argue quite a bit, but he's rather intelligent (in the "street smarts" sort of way) and knows who not to pick a fight with.

General Physical Description: He's slightly taller than average, as well as thin and sinewy. Most of his body is scarred, with the worst wounds being on his right arm and leg. He limps on the aforementioned leg, and his right arm has a habit of seizing up and becoming useless, especially when it has been strained.

Accessories: Greenfang wears a wolf fang around his neck as a memento of a past battle, and carries his scimitar in his belt. He also stores a small curved knife somewhere on his person (He changes the location weekly, or after a battle).

Clothing: He wears a rather torn-up green vest that has been reinforced in vital areas by small amounts of chain mail. His belt is snakeskin, and rather worn. He wears a pair of brown shorts, which have a large tear in the front of the right leg.

Preferred Style of Character Drawing: Eh, mostly animal, though I really don't have a preference. Really, whatever the artist is best at.

Headfur: HECK no.

Just wanted to let you know I'm very much enjoying the side-story you have going on, Jarrtail, sir, Birch, m'am. Most entertaining and you caught that little slip in Sue's post, Lady Squirrel. I'm quite sure I'm 'scarred' as opposed to 'scared'. Will have to watch it, though.
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and die:
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.

Those last two posts were spectacular! Birch you owe me a new keyboard and a chocolate milk. I'm glad you were able to make Greenfang's motives work out Jarrtail.  ;) I forgot to ask if I had got him right again before I posted and then I forgot to ask if it was okay after I'd posted.

You two should team up to take down Nivard in the next post.  :D
And I hope that you know that nature is so
This same rain that draws you near me
Falls on rivers and land, and forests and sand,
Makes the beautiful world that you'll see in the morning

To all reviewers, past and present, thank you! I don't always find something to say in reply to each reviewer but I do my best to read them and will take their advice as best I can. You are appreciated!

Jarrtail

That's what Birch said. I'm a bit hesitant about it, being that you probably have some horrible death planned for him, but the result outweighs the risk, as they say.

I really liked that, too! I was reading it, and then I was like, wait a minute, didn't I see this before? And then I was like, "Oh snap, he didn't!" And then I was like, "He did," nodding sagely.
And then he DIED!!!

Yes, I did. *returns sage nod*
