Prompt for August 2020 - FABLES

[Rascal]

Once upon a time...

The writer has one month, starting from August 1st, to create a Fable that Redwallers, woodlanders, and vermin might tell their dibbuns, sewing circles, or mates at the pub.

Rules: The story is between 500-1000 words. When you are done, page it to me here as Rascal and I will add it to the website anonymously. Everyone will get to vote on their favorite in the two categories. Yes you can vote for yourself but only once.

There are two categories to choose from:

A. The Remake. A fable, folktale, or fairytale taken from a real-world fable but with a Redwall twist.  Any and all ye old fables are open. Please list the fable you are drawing inspiration from. No, it does not have to follow the exact plot of the original. Yes, the big bad wolf can win. Yes, the hero can rescue the dragon from a horrible princess. etc etc

B. The Origional. An original tale of your own design.
