Hello, all! Your friendly neighborhood mole, here. I'm really pretty rubbish at reviews and would probably end up giving myself away, so I'm not going to do that. Instead, I've gone through each application and found my favorite line or short passage and compiled them to share with y'all. There is no commentary, no explanation. Some are things I found funny, some are things I found pretty, some are things I found compelling. I just thought the authors might like to see what part I enjoyed most in their apps. So, without further ado...

The Ring:

Siroc: She forced down the cicadas buzzing in her stomach and began her grim work.

Ninthclaw Teshan: It's as if my body's in these valleys and canyons and my spirit is elsewhere.

Locke the Laughing Lance: With a feral grin, Locke stabbed the bloody knife into the table, piercing the lizard's stronghold on the map they were going to invade along with the rough drawing of the enemy leader's face, "Tomorrow we will show those reptiles what real mercy is..."

Dilla: "Oh I've heard that one before - and you know it was us slaves that broke our own chains! Dillos stand strong!"

Bone Rattlers:

Wenona: The drums beat out a joyful rhythm. Wenona's heart thudded along with it, her paws barely making a sound on the packed earth as she stomped and twirled, losing herself to the music. The fire crackled, settled, and sparks flew to the heavens. The lynx followed them with her eyes, throwing her head back to laugh at the stars.

Marrow: They stepped out onto the icy shore nearby, gazing into the night sky, the spirit paths glowing softly above.

Haar: The otter tapped his foot, making his bony regalia clack together ominously; the Song had begun, he simply had to dance to its tune, and dance he did. At first it was slow, just tapping his foot, then slowly shuffling his body, before taps became steps, shuffles became spins, and then he was whirling and weaving around the fire, still stamping, still clattering, all eyes on him as he was lost in the dance.

Saoirse the Unbound: "Really, Saoirse? Is this how you behave? Starving yourself? Playing dead? These childish games won't rid you of me. Get up. You look ridiculous."

Augur Wren: But now her scouts tindered lanterns awake as they bore in, and they brought illumination back to Chandler's Light.

Gauta Firstflame: She knew which bones were to go into the bowls first, how quickly her limbs needed to sway, and when to end the long dance. When to stop all motions and listen to the voice that blended past, present and future into a single melody - The Song Of All That Lives. One world, one song, one fate.

The Interpreters:

Scorpio, Lord of Rain, Bringer of Floods: "Wet rock makes for poor climbing," Scorpio taunted. "While I wait for you to get up here, how about a little lesson?"

Ixchel: I only tell the truth. Nothing but the truth. Nature doesn't always give us what we want to hear, but sometimes by listening, we can find out our answers.

Gilhert Greysand: Brightly patterned linens were unfurled tightly across every surviving rafter, shielding the occupants from the fearsome sun. Every shelf was covered in sheets of parchment and painted maps. Where there were no papers, there were brilliantly painted ceramic dishes filled with colourful fruits.

The Beast Masters:

Wilder Wapaw: He was silenced by a sudden gust of wind; the beast's snort; and found to his horror that his expression was mirrored on a much larger face.

Shoklok: Today was an exciting day—a day that didn't have many like it: their group was adding a new member. As such, a palpable, nervous energy ran through the Twigs, and they strained for their focus.

Fernando: Once there, he was greeted by an assistant who helpfully informed him that Maestro Sanchez was outside taking his daily constitutional, but, "if you'd just like to wait here, it shouldn't be long until he returns."

Timbones Oldburrow: Within a burrow in a desert scrubland sat an old antelope squirrel, rocking back and forth in her chair as she finished scrawling the last few words on a piece of parchment paper. Beside her sat a firefly lantern and an empty chair. "Oh where is that boy?" she said to herself. No sooner had she said so than a youthfully handsome head popped in from around the entrance.

The Ice Walkers:

Emmathea Pointe: "It's said that your first hunt tells us who you'll grow up to be." Her grandmother's words echoed in her mind. "The lowborn sons with everything to prove will risk all for the sharp-mawed beasts of the ice or the horned giants of the woods."

"Our family," she said, "know better."

Bahto: It was strength that ruled this crumbling land, but it would be kindness that held it together.

The Knight:

Marunae: They saved their tree, and built a shelter on the opposite riverbank, and she showed him how to fight with stave and sword, and he showed her the fireflies he had trained to fly about and look like the night sky and cluster wherever he was so that she would know where to find him.
