Aww, I was just gonna spring that on the audience last minute to be ebil. But it's true. Final voting results won't be announced until the last story post goes up. :P

Usually the winner gets to direct the story to its conclusion.  Does this mean the story will be a collaboration to the end?

The winner will be decided a week from now, so whoever that is will still get to direct the story's ending. I just won't announce who the winner is to the audience until the last story post goes up. The contestants will know right after voting closes, though, so they can plan accordingly. This will hoooopefully make the story end much quicker. Or, y'know, actually END. Unlike a certain crazy chipmunk and a certain grumpy badger...

Speaking o' which, next voting period will be December 24-27, and bear in mind this vote will be for your FAVORITE character, the one you want to win. Giving an extra day because it's around Christmas and since it's the final vote, I want to make sure everyone gets their votes in! If you're not going to be around then, you can PM a vote to me beforehand. But I'd wait for some posts to go up first, even if you think you're dead set on who you want to win. You never know, you might change your mind! :P

Based on your last voting comment -- happiness.  It is nice you voted for everyone, but it would be best voting for just one.

That said, I'll be hoping the reason you're on the road is to visit friends and relatives this holiday season.  Enjoy the trip and savor those moments as they pass all too quickly.  Given the choice, this story is a poor third or fourth.

Working over the holiday, and that's a holiday gift to the coworker I'm replacing.  We traded days.  He got my day off so he could be with his family and I got an extra ten-hour shift on what has to be the deadest day at the casino.  I call that a win - win situation.
