Ahem *English Professor Voice*:

Virgil is in fact in Dante's Inferno. In it, he [Dante] is lead through Hell by the spirit of virtuous Virgil, which is Mr. Alighieri's nod to classical epic poets that inspired him.

Alright, I suppose there's no point in putting off my reveal any longer. So. *deep breath*

I originally really did not want to reveal myself, like, at all, but I've been informed that to not tell you guys would be "lame," so I will.

I'd considered doing a big, long pronouncement about this, but I've come to realize that, perhaps, what happened in the past is better off put to rest. Suffice it to say, this has been an amazing experience, and I'm definitely proud to have participated.

So. Yeah. Thank you all for an awesome story.

:o You're still around after all these years?!

saffy

You mean.. from Terrouge? Are you on any other ROC sites?

Bellona Littlebrush

Ubby, along with Vilu Daskar and Mokkan hosted Operation: Sandstorm and Operation: Mindstorm on the Redwall Vermin Alliance (RVA). That site hasn't been up for a very long time, though. *pokes Daskar* He was also in RV3 as a grumpy old mole. I believe he was admin of Terrouge for a while (that right?). Aaand... that's what I know of your exploits at present, Ubby. I'm sure I missed some stuffs, though.

EDIT: And now this leaves Revel. C'mon Revel, don't be 'lame'. Reveal! :P

I poke Daskar about it every time I see him, Syc. :p

And, yes, Saffy. I was always a Terrouger, back in the day. Some of my more famous shenanigans there were the Vilu Daskar Is Fuzzy Christmas Carol, pretending to marry Moonflicker Swiftswimmer, and the April Fools Day where Daskar and I managed to convince the Terrouge staff that Kenny, the old admin, had come back. My only other claim to fame is having managed to get about five of my e-mails published by "Ask Slagar" back in the day.

Bell, I was never made an admin or mod on Terrouge, much to my chagrin. I just ran the 'zine. I also co-helmed QBIV after Jason left, but they never gave me any priveleges for that. (The mods were really not a fan of me after Grand Theft Avatar took off, even though that was totally Artus' fault.)

Regarding my previous game history, I was Alacia Quillrussen in RedVenture 2, the ROC's first female hedgehog (and, to whoever it was that said in the RSGC forum that Alacia should have gone longer, I agree. I had just gotten a new job, and was interviewing for it out of town. Voting opened early by accident, as I recall, and I got voted off for not posting in time) and was, indeed, the ROC's first male mole in RV3.

But, yeah. Like Tibs, I'd been gone for about three years, and was just cruising around the ROC when I found out about the contest, and decided to see if I still had any good words left in me. The rest is history.

Well, you should poke him harder!!!

I miss our antics . . .

I also missed the Grand Theft Avatar day. That was one of my biggest regrets.
And then he DIED!!!

Damask the Minstrel

I... loved the Grand Theft Avatar. I'll just go on the record to say that. ^.^

Wow... Ubby. I honestly would have never guessed.

Apparently, you /do/ have some good words left in you, don't you?

Eh, nobody would have... :p

Jarrtail, Grand Theft Avatar was one of the most amazing things in Terrouge history. Surprisingly, actually. I was changing my avatar one day, and then it occurred to me that it would be phenomenally interesting if I broke the biggest unwritten rule on the internet by using somebody else's avatar. There was no rule against it, so I figured it was just one of those things 'you don't do'. I decided to be the first, just to see what would happen. QBIV was going on, so I decided to steal Illiam's.

I got denounced as being 'unoriginal', but then I pointed out that if everybody on Terrouge was using different avatars, and only one person was not, that person, me, was by definition more original than everybody else.

That argument stood beautifully for about fifteen seconds, and then other people started doing GTA too and totally ruined the logical structure...

In the end, it ran for a couple of months, and something like forty people were doing it at the same time, and then we started stealing signatures, so it was incredibly hard to figure out who was posting what. I actually tried to stop this from happening, because it completely ruined the entire point of the exercise. The Terrouge mods weren't sure whether to outlaw it or not, because all it really did was force people to read things more carefully. But, then the Terrouge staff appointed a bunch of new mods, and the first thing they did was outlaw GTA.

Kind of sad, in retrospect

Well, here it goes again... :P

Eliza Lacrimosa

Don't worry, Jarrtail. I've just included a counter-GTA measure: a subnic which Sycamore could never bring himself to steal. Bwahahha...
