Audience Voting!

As you can see, the judges' picks are up. What we have done is take the top scoring apps in the five categories with multiple applicants, plus the next highest scoring app overall. You, the audience, will vote for the last two contestants out of the rest of the remaining apps (to be posted up right after I'm done typing this!). To the six that are already contestants, congrats! You will receive emails with instructions a bit closer to the end of audience voting.

WHICH. Will be until the end of the night (11:59 PM EST) on Halloween (October 31st :P). So read, review, and PM your top two choices to me by then. Good luck, everyone! :)

Okay, guys 'n' gels, sliiiiight change of plans. Due to unforeseen time constraints, Forwing has had to drop out of the contest.

So what we're going to do is have the top three audience picks get into the contest now. Which means everyone gets three votes now, instead of two. Those who've already voted, you can still send in a third vote. Or not. Whatever you'd like!

Well, the results are in. It was seriously one of the closest voting spreads I've ever seen. It came right down to the wire, but three have finished a whisker's breadth ahead of the rest.

Congratulations to our final three contestants: Alan, Clutus, and Rexim! You will be receiving emails shortly. :)

Thank you everyone for applying and voting. I really hope you'll stick around to read and review what is undoubtedly going to be a great story. Hopefully we can get another fan fiction thread going! And there will be contests for you audience members, the first one coming up in the first week of the contest, actually. Hoorah!

I didn't really decide what I was going to do with Dosin, honestly. Let's have fun and assume that his village was attacked again, and he died, never making it to Kotir.

As to the relationship, my current answer is that it's his mother being her abusive self rather than there being any actual relationship other than friendship. That, too, may have changed if the character was developed more.

Hey, congratulations contestants!

Your characters all are well developed, each with their own interesting aspects. I am going to be kept on my toes reading how they deal with events as they come and interacting with one another, as well as the fact that the founding of Kotir is the setting.

So you may have noticed that voting has not opened. This is due to very serious matters that are personal in nature that have arisen quite unexpectedly amongst a number of contestants. Voting will hopefully start within the next 24 hours. I will keep you posted. For now, sit tight, write a review or a haiku or thirty, and enjoy the story.

You'll notice we're still waiting on a few posts, so if you'd like to hold your vote until closer to the deadline, I'm sure the contestants would be most appreciative. :)
