RV6 Official Fanart Thread

Alright, as I don't know how many of the RV6 contestants know this, I enjoy  doing fanart for survivor contests and drawing character portraits of the top (insert number here) Because of this, I'm going to go ahead and open up the official RV6 Fanart thread, where many drawings of your characters will be made for your enjoyment.  Anyways, consider this kind of like a free commission, so I'm allowing you to go all out.  Give me a description of your character quicklike and tell me how you want them drawn, as in, like a pose, or with a prop, or other such thing.  Them just kinda... standing there is boring.  Use this picture as a guideline if you need to- http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=&section=&q=redwall+revolutions+juniper#/d2vfyv6

My drawings can take anywhere from a few hours to maybe three days, so expect good things.

I'll be drawing them in a random order (as in drawn from a hat) so keep checking in.  You guys can tell me how you want me to put them up.  I can either put up each one as they get inked, then color them when I'm done inking them all.  Or I can simply put them up as they're colored.  Your choice.  I'll be using color pencils for coloring.

After I finish my portraits, you can expect some other artwork from me later, whether it be scenes I liked, or just random ideas that pop into my head.

Last but not least, to the other artists on the forums, Tara and you all, go ahead and contribute if you want to, wouldn't mind this thread getting pretty long with pictures and such.

[Rexim]

All righty, Rexim's description:

Rexim is tall, and of average build. His age is somewhere around middle age, and he's obviously not young anymore. His fur is brown, with maybe a couple streaks of gray, going to white with the lateness of the season. He wears ten silver rings on his right ear. He has a shin-length grey coat of no special qualities, and a fur-trimmed, Cossack-style hat. The fur is actually the skin of his first wife!
No, not really. He bought it in a shop. It's probably mouse or something.

Of course, the first thing that anyone notices about him is his many wounds, which are as follows: his right paw is missing the last claw (pinky) and the ring claw. His left paw got off comparatively lightly, only being minus the ring claw. His left ear is pretty much gone, the only remains being a small, cauterized stump. His tail shared a similar fate, with over half of it completely gone. He has a couple small scars around the back and shoulders, but nothing else major.

Here ya go:

Toby's a European mink, average build and pretty fit. The only remarkable things you could say about his appearance are his height and his eyes. He's tall for a mink, but that only puts him up to the average height of a fox or weasel, since they're relatively small. His eyes are grey-blue, and they have a sort of sharp appearance so that one would say he looks at everything with interest.

As for clothes, he's got a shirt (since it's Winter-ish, long sleeve, but the sleeves are rolled up) and pants, both rather loose-fitting (nothing special, I would say 'normal' dress for the setting). He also has a tube for blueprints he carries around when he's working. It has a long strap, but he doesn't have a certain way of carrying it (whether slung behind his back, on his shoulder, or just carrying it with his hand).

I don't really have a preference for what he's doing, maybe looking at/drawing some blueprints or telling people what to do or admiring the castle :P

[Rousseau]

Anyways,
Rousseau is a typical grey rat who is fairly thin, as she frequently skips out on meals from obsession with her work, and is also fairly short in stature.  Her left eye is blue, her right doesn't exist and is covered with an eyepatch.  She usually wears a dark blue naval jacket with gold trim over an always-buttoned brown vest and a white collared, long sleeved tunic. She wears normal, of-the-day pants and tall pirate boots with it.  If you plan to draw her painting in any way, she'll dress for the occasion. She'll remove her captain's jacket, and tie the sleeves around her waist (not sure how well I worded this, but everyone has done this before) to where the bulk of it falls where her tail is.  She'll also put on a painter's apron and will roll up the sleeves of her tunic. She has a basket hilted rapier sheathed into her belt that she carries at all times.  

But she's unusually neat and organized for a pirate/vermin and so, asides from a few unwashable stains, most of her attire is paint free.

EDIT: Forgot to add a pose and whatnot.  She can be either painting a picture if you wish, or she can be simply on her ship if you desire.  Whichever one you want will be fine with me.

[Chokk]

Chokk's yer normal European beaver. Buck teeth, bushy facial features. He's quite heavy set but strong. He walks with a swagger due to his girth. Flat tail, dark brown fur. You get the picture. If not here's a picture ;):

As for attire:
Something akin to tan colored overalls. He often chews on grass stems and has been seen wearing a wide brimmed hat woven from river reeds. He also wears a crimson bandanna tied around his neck or in the back pocket of his overalls. No covering on his footpaws. Imagine a country bumpkin look and you've got Chokk. (he is much smarter than he appears)

He carries a sling and pouch of pebbles at his side. Also a short dagger is kept in an overall pocket. He uses this for everything from peeling apples to defending himself. He usually has a stout little tree limb as a walking stick when traveling.

A picture of him surveying the river or whirling his sling would be great.

[Clutus]

Clutus is a Common Barn Owl, also called a Tyto alba.  Our friendly neighborhood fount of wisdom is a fairly average specimen, besides his clipped wings.  

Color-wise, Clutus has light gray upper-parts, etched with fine dark lines and spotted with pale brown.  His underparts are pure white, and his legs pale yellow.  His face-disc is white, but it is edged his brown and gray.  Two piercing black eyes peer from above a pinkish beak.

As far as his pose.  I would say something regal would match him, especially if he's looking belittlingly at the viewer.  That would be perfect. :)

[Rallentando]

Ralle is 13 seasons old and not very pudgy. She likes to stay slim and sleek. She takes her fun very seriously and has a severe expression when engaged in playful antics, which is almost always. Smiling is only for spies who return home to have a victory feast!

She wears a simple lime green apron dress over a lilac something. Like this. She doesn't wear any boots or shoes.

Some good poses would be studiously scribbling something down in her notebook, bopping a smaller rabbit on the head, or craning her head over a wall or bush to peek at something.

[Alan]

oh you know... generally minkish...  With brown eyes, and brown fur, and the white/creamy underbelly ect...  He wears a breastplate and cape fitting of a captain.  Oh, and those wrist/arm thingies...  that soldiers wear...  no idea what they're called.  But they look neat.

He probably has a sword somewhere about him.

oh and something has a black tip.  maybe his tail... maybe his ears...  maybe one ear...  I don't know.  have fun with it.

[Luka]

Luka is average height for a fox. He's got large brown eyes and scruffy dark orange fur. His ear tips are black, as are his paws. He has the stereotypical white belly fur and muzzle. In terms of his build he's sturdy, but sports a little bit of belly?nothing major, but it is a little noticeable at the right angles. He walks with a limp in his step, surely because of his wounded left leg. In terms of cleanliness, his fur is scruffy from a lack of care, but he isn't some dirty low life.

He also sports large brown leather bracers and a baggy brown tunic. The tunic itself is unclean and shows signs of wear and tear. Food stains are prevalent.

If you want a pose a fun one would be him swinging around a large wooden spoon like a sword or him playing chess against himself, deep in thought. Either or works fine by me : ), oh, and thanks a bunch!

My random order has brought all the R names first for some reason.  Anyways, I have Rousseau's inked copy finished now, and Rexim's and Rallentando's sketches are both finished, just need to ink them.  I should have them up here very soon.

Ooh  :o, very nice, Airan, I love it.  You caught her "don't bug me" attitude very well and I love her expression.  Can't wait to see the rest of them and the finished results when they're all colored.  Again, thank you very much :)

I love what you guys are doing with the story.  The plot twist seems like it's going to be loads of fun, and so far everyone's doing a great job.  In other news, Rexim is now complete and Rallentando's sketch is done as well. Inking will be done tomorrow and her portrait will be up tomorrow as well.

Next up is Alan, whose sketch is almost complete.  There is a distinct addition of Radish and overly decorated armor, so be prepared.
