Rexim

Pretty much what it says in the tin (for those of you who can read Latin, anyway). Feel free to ask any questions about myself, Rexim, or life in general. If you have a guess to my identity, please shoot me a PM and I'll let you know if you were correct.

You mentioned in the skype chats that you had "a funny way you came up with Rexim's name." Was it indeed the fact that it's Mixer backwards, or what was the funny way you came up with it?

What do the title's of your posts mean? O.o
I'm Busy

Rexim

1. Rexim's name...

Are you sure? There are some things which man was not meant to know...

Well, here goes:

"Rexim" is the name of a now defunct Swiss arms company. Seriously. I just read the name somewhere and liked the sound of it.

And no, this doesn't mean that his accent is supposed to be Swiss. I'm not really sure what it is.

2. Post Titles:
First Post: "To quarrel with a drunk is to wrong a man who is not even there"
Second: "Unknown Land"
Third: "Sound Mind in Sound Body"
Fourth: "There is no book so bad that it is not profitable in some part"
Death: "Troy was"

As for why they were all in Latin: I don't really know. I like Latin, and it seemed appropriate for Rexim's character.

Have you written in any other contests before?

Where did your inspiration for Rexim as a character come from?  What made you choose to write a foreign character over a native?

What would your ideal pet be?

Rexim

1. Yes, in fact. Midnight Mossflower 2 and Redwall: Lockdown

2. What inspired Rexim... Well, after I was voted out of R:L, I started thinking about who my next character would be. I eventually came up with a scarred fox type fellow, but I was having some problems with his characterization. Then this contest came along, and as soon as I heard that it was taking place during the building of Kotir I knew I wanted in on that. I was always fascinated by Kotir in Mossflower, because Jacques never explains who built it or why. So I decided to write the character who built it.
As for why Rexim is foreign... technically, all of the vermin characters are foreign. I chose to write Rexim so obviously foreign to emphasize how alien the wolves, their empire, and many of their ideas were to Mossflower.

3. A cat. I like cats.  :kitty:
