Had to do Goragula. Am I allowed to directly link into the message like this or should I keep it as just a link?

Balmafula

XD wow, that's amazing! Great work.

Matra Hammer

Super impressive. There are some really talented people on this board.

Rousseau

Ooh, very nice. I'm more of a traditional artist myself, but it's always nice to see some well done digital art. The contrast of textures from Goragula's skin, the squirrel's fur, and the wooden table is also really nice. Nice job capturing the atmosphere of the application. :)

Will you be drawing the other characters as well?

Rad. This is pretty much exactly what I pictured for this scene!
Best in the world.

This is absolutely beautiful. Excellent work, Viz
First post edited for plot reasons, nothing more.

Holy crap, this is amaaaazing!!! *drowns in utter bliss*
And then he DIED!!!

Vizon

Thanks guys! I think what I'll probably end up doing is illustrating my favorite scenes from the story rather then straight up character drawings. I think...

Aleisou

WOW. GIVE ME YOUR SKILLZ. That is seriously impressive! Ugh, you make my drawing of Pyracantha look so shoddy in comparison. How long did it take you to do? And what program? The writers will be incredibly lucky if you do scene illustrations for the story, you captured it perfectly.

So much evil. That poor squirrel looks completely terrified. So cute. Aww. :( It's so much better when rodents and froggies are getting along.

Aleisou, you should know that I greatly admired your Pyracantha illustration! You may also note that neither of the characters portrayed in my painting are clothed . I have much less confidence with costumes and clothing than with textures and facial expressions, which is one reason I'm hoping the other artists around here will jump at the individual character illustrations. Then I can have something to go off of. :D
All those ruffles in Pyracantha's dress would be terribly intimidating to me if I tried to draw the same thing out of thin air. Of course practice makes perfect, so maybe I should really try to do more....er.....fashion.
But I wanted you to know - even in the one sketch I've seen you have strengths that I do not!

Edit: Oh yes - and to answer your question concerning time - it took me about 4-5 hours in Photoshop CS5.

foxpen

Holy crap, that is fantastic. I love your fur technique!!

Hey, if I may ask, what program do you use? And also, are those custom brushes that you've paitned with? Do you havea  deviantart account? *bombardwithlove*

Thanks Foxpen. :) Well...I do have a Deviant Art account that I created rather recently. There's not a lot in it right now though because of that.

I did it all in Photoshop this time around. usually I work from a pencil sketch and often I bring my stuff into Corel Painter because I like the brushes and blending better in that than Photoshop, but I'm learning to work with PS more since Painter likes to crash a little too often.

TNT

That is really quite spiffy, Vizon! I'm having second thoughts about sharing my art now. XP

The more art the better, Tara! I may only end up doing a few of these anyway depending on time constraints.

Yes please everyone feel free to share your art! The one thing that keeps me going in my artistic endeavors is not comparing my work with others too critically.

That said... This is a VERY nice piece Vizon! Your talent is appreciated and admired by me. :D
