He spent a little extra on the seashell guard but all the gels love a stylin' bloke. The uniform is pretty stylin' as well. Not what I imagined (for some reason I saw stuffy overcoats unsuitable for tropical sailing...my sailing experience all comes from THE FRIGID NORTH) but this fits well. A little futuristic with the shoulder swoops, but a jolly tight fit all the same.

Why, it's Fild'ring! Jolly blinkin' bally good show, ol' wheeze! I really like his uniform. A little futuristic, as Matra said, but that ain't a bad thing--it's stylin' and I really like the color scheme. Love the banner, as well--show off your colors proudly, Fild, mate!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who pictured him as a hipster. This little thing somehow got drawn sometime during round 2. I showed it to the contestants but haven't made it public. If you've ever seen the Scott Pilgrim movie or read the comic, then it's completely ripped from that.

He's going to summon demonic sages to shoot fireballs as Rob Rosequill (fits Scott's name) and his band fire back with the power of rock. So good. Laughed out loud seeing that little comic. Well done.

But yeah you're not the only one. I read Scully like a young man enamored with a lifestyle that doesn't (shouldn't) exist. Whether there was eyeshadow involved or not...

I managed to get a little bit of work on this one before last round's voting ended so I went ahead and finished it. Everyone's favorite pirate captain: Ciera Ancora.

I wanted to play a good bit with lighting and I figured with Ciera's whole "fighting for the future" theme of her application that she'd do well looking towards a bright light of some sort. All in all a fun piece to do and I learned a lot from working on it.

Am I the only reader that forgets her species? It's not unclear or anything, but as I read my brain paints her as a cat. And she's all determined now but wait until someone throws a cardboard tube at her! Not so stark and forward onto dawn anymore when there's tube rolling to be done.
