Shoutbox

Curious to ask this: I noticed this board is a Simplemachines board and I've worked with one before. From what I recall, there's a native shoutbox that allows members to chat with each other. Is it possible to implement this here?

Poooossibly? I'm not sure. I find chat boxes kind of distracting, personally. If there was a way to put it at the bottom of the page rather than the top, I might be more inclined to go for it.

Personally, I don't think it'd last very long. At least from what I've seen, shoutboxes only inspire ricecake-quality chat. With ricecakes, you eat one, then another, and another, and you end up going through a whole pack of them, but they just leave y' feelin' empty. =P
