Hey everyone, welcome to the Art Room! As the name suggests, this is a place for you to put up your artwork for all to see, whether that's illustrations, paintings, poetry, music, interpretive dance... it doesn't matter. I consider art a very loose term that can be applied to a lot of things. That being said, if something is posted in this board that I feel doesn't particularly fit, then I will move it somewhere more fitting, or delete it if I find it necessary. With that out of the way, there are some rules.

Art Room Rules

?   Feel free to discuss each other's work, but criticism should remain constructive and civil. This should remain a positive place to share one's art. It has no room for elitism. I honestly don't expect this rule to ever be broken, but if it does seem to start becoming an issue, I will not tolerate it and will take action if necessary, whether that means removing specific user's access or issuing bans.

?   Artwork and feedback should remain in the Gallery section of the board, while tutorials, helpful links, or any particular artistic ideas or thoughts you might have should be posted to the Discussion section.

?   The Art Room is not reserved for Redwall or Redwall Survivor related artwork, though it is certainly encouraged! Feel free to post whatever artwork you like...

?   ...Unless it's pornography. As Redwall was a children's book series, this site should also remain family friendly for any younger visitors and skeptical parents. Absolutely NO sexual content or nudity should be posted or linked. This includes more revealing figure studies. Breaking this rule will earn you an immediate ban from the forum, no warnings, no questions asked.

?   You are allowed to link to your deviantArts, Instagrams, Tumblrs, or personal websites. However, going along with the previous rule, if any of these contain sexual content, the link will be removed. You will not be banned, but receive a warning, and instead be asked to only showcase your more tame artwork on the forum. Websites like Photobucket and Tinypic all allow quick posting of images and proper coding to share pictures directly to the forum.

?   Art with blood or violence must be mild and not in excess.

?   Do not post art that is not your own. However, you can provide links to different artists and any works they have that you admire.

?   When posting new work in the Gallery, please use the proper naming convention when creating your topic: "Title - By [your username]" This rule is mostly so that in the future, the different topics in this thread don't become indiscernible from one another, which will happen if everyone simply names their works "Some Sketches, A Drawing I did, etc." You can still be vague if you don't know what to title it, but keep it descriptive enough that we can tell which thread is which at just a glance.

?   Artwork does not have to be posted in the Art Room. Frequently, our Survivor Contests receive fanart from different artists over the course of their runtime, and, so long as the art is directly related to a particular contest, it is allowed to be posted in the respective Contest Discussion. However, all work must still follow Art Room rules.

?   If you have any further questions, you can reply to this topic. Otherwise, have fun!

Good to see there's still interest in art here. I always fear that when the population and the writing dwindles, people forget their creativity. I know I lose inspiration often. I hope to contribute something to The Art Room!
