To kick off the Writer's Workshop, I've decided to include a link to a Redwall fanfiction I started in 2013 (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9400997/1/Good-Fences) While it's regrettably not done- or even remotely started really- I'm kind of proud of what it is. It certainly has its spots of questionable writing- heck even the very first sentence is pretty clunky- but I think it's a solid example of my craft.

So, for the concept- the story is your typical sort of woodlander vs vermin type conflict, but instead of taking the classical Redwall approach with battles and hordes and all that nonsense, I thought it would be more interesting to actually lower the scale and turn it into a simple domestic dispute. So, anyways, it follows the otter Django Riverdeep and his family as they depart Redwall and settle into a hidden glade in Mossflower Woods. Soon however, a family of foxes shows up on their doorstep and conflict ensues. Surprisingly, it's a pretty slice of life story that takes you day to day into the characters lives and what they think of one another. The conflict, while prevalent throughout, takes an overall backseat to the characters themselves and their relationships to one another, as well as their personal and familial histories.

While the story has sort of been in hiatus since I started up Mossflower Odyssey 3, I do think having some more readers or feedback would certainly motivate me to try and get myself back into the groove of updating it.
