Hello. If you're here, it means you're interested in applying to Mossflower Odyssey V: Heaven-sent. Thankfully, this thread is the first place you need to go to get started with submitting your application. Please simply follow these steps-

•   If you are interested in joining us as a writer for the contest, simply create an account on the forum and then make a reply to this thread saying something to the extent of "I am interested in applying to MO5." If you know for a fact that you WILL be applying for the contest, please clarify as such, but only say this if you are certain of your participation. With enough interested writers, I will open up a 9th and 10th category so as to allow room for more participants, so please don't forget to clarify so I can get a proper headcount.

•   As I am trying to allow newcomers an easier time understanding the ins and outs of these contests, as well as give them a better fighting chance against more experienced veterans in our community, this will be the first contest I run where I incorporate a Newcomer Handicap into the mix.

                  -Eligibility: To be eligible for this handicap you must have never made it into the official contestant pool for a contest. If you have ever made it into the Top 8, 10, 12, whathaveyou, then you will not be eligible.

                  -The Handicap: If you are eligible for the handicap, then you will be allowed to resubmit ONE application and will receive feedback from myself on the first draft that you submit. The application you receive feedback on and are allowed to resubmit, will be the FIRST one you submit through the official form. So, if you submit multiple applications at one time, make sure the one that you're wanting me to look over for you is the very first one you submit. As this feedback will take time, and I will also need time to officially judge other applications, there will be a cutoff point to receiving this handicap. You must submit the desired application before February 7th, 2020 11:59 PM EST.

If you are eligible for the handicap and desire to have it, please add to your reply: "I desire to have the newcomer handicap."

•   Soon after you make your reply in this thread, you will receive a private message which will give you an Identification Number. This number will become your identity in regards to submitting your applications- as well as my way of keeping track of how many applications each writer has submitted, while also preserving their anonymity. With this in mind, please do not discuss your ID Numbers publicly, or to me personally, as one of my primary goals with this system is to NOT know which number belongs to which writer. If you are handicap eligible, don't fret, your feedback will still get to you, even if I don't personally know your identity. Please also have patience with ID Bot as he's a very busy robot with his own schedule and will get you your ID whenever it gets to you. If you've posted here and it's been 3 or 4 days and still no ID, contact me and I'll see if I can fix the error.

Applications received from applicants who do not follow these steps will not be accepted.
