It's the sky. It's red. It's a, a red sky at night, in which case sailors should delight, or it's a red sky at morning, in which case sailors should take warning. And since the latter case is more narratively interesting, I'll assume it's a trailer for an upcoming contest involving a bunch of sailors. Or other beasts who happen to be on a boat. And they should be taking warning, because everyone thinks the boat is eventually going to crash and dump them in the Setting. Only it isn't, and they're just stuck on the boat until all but three of them die. Then, after successive reprises of "I'm On A Boat", the boat actually does crash and the last three drown.

Unless it's a red sky at noon, of course, in which case I guessed too soon.

So how long to the next clue?  And do you intend at least answering our guesses?  Maybe post the incorrect answer(s) so those trying to figure out your riddle can narrow it down a bit.
