So I went into the WSNW chatroom just now, since the admin was there. He was idle, however, much to my disappointment (but not surprise). I was thinking I'd get one last shot at getting him to fix my database. Couldn't hurt trying, could it?

I'd posted a topic on the board which was basically my last hurrah the night before. Said how bad WSNW was, how understaffed and unhelpful they were, and how they were even chasing their own staff members away. There were far ruder messages up there (and believe me, I could have torn into them like there was no tomorrow, but I restrained myself). Anyway, the topic was deleted.

Anyway, in the chatroom I was like. It's really funny that they deleted my topic.

Then this mod, Alfrunn23, was like, I'll look into that for you.

Then a little later he was like. Um. Don't advertise.

And I was like. Why not?

And he was like. Because. It'll make people leave WSNW.

I was like. Um. But if I've found a less stressful host, shouldn't I be able to talk about it?

He said no, and that he was starting to get angry with me.

I kept asking him WHY he was angry, but the more calmly I tried to ask him why he was so angry, the angrier he got, until finally he just kicked me out. Yep. Silence anyone with a different viewpoint than you. Very open-minded, Alfrunn23.

This is not the first run-in with a staffer I've had. They've been consistently rude and snarky to forumgoers. Alfyboy here claims it's because they "bust their [butts] to keep us happy." I pointed out that their rudeness does NOT keep me happy. He REALLY didn't like that one, but the truth hurts sometimes, doesn't it?


Please kick me if I ever become that mean of an admin, guys. I might not be able to live with myself. XD

Okay, since I am being censored like crazy everywhere for no reason, I'd just like to say here that I have never met a less friendly staff anywhere. I tried to calmly talk to a staff member in the chat room and they kept getting angrier and angrier until they kicked me out.

I don't even have to advertise what site you all should be getting hosting at instead of this one. I think the actions of the staff speak louder than any spam ever will. You've been unhelpful, you killed my site, and now I cannot even speak out about anything. But I will NOT be a robot, and I will NOT repeat the "WSNW is good" mantra that you want me to. WSNW is NOT good. I'm so done.

Goodbye.

I expect it to be edited within the next few minutes or so.

Anyway, consider this a Shameless UNplug. I cannot stress this enough to you all. If you care at all about your mental health:

NEVER, EVER, EVER get your hosting from Websites Network! They are rude, unhelpful, and apparently can delete your site with scarcely any warning! Plus all the reasons above, and a thousand more I won't take time to write down. Etc., etc.

I would like to state just one thing, you applied for a staff member position just 2 hours before making this post....?

Eh? I never applied to be a staff member at WSNW. Nor will I ever.

And anyway, it doesn't matter because I am finished with WSNW, and am no longer under its jurisdiction.  WSNW had numerous chances to win me over and failed hideously. I am only posting this here because it is a place I can do so without being censored or thrown out of a chat room randomly because a mod wanted to take their bad day out on me. Customers should NOT be treated so appallingly. I'm also posting this here because my members pretty much had to suffer all the downtime and the horrible server wipe idea along with me, and now I'm just hoping that even half of them will come back after all that has happened.

This is not the place for WSNW support. I spoke out often when mods were being rude to members on the forums. All the answers you need are there.

I did NOT say that it is a place for WSNW Support. I simply want to find who is:
Censuring our members
Kick people from chat
Is rude to our members

and so on. Also note that not all the staff members are bad, i think you are judging the whole team by only 2~3 people...

If you're not following the RedVenture story, then please remove yourself from my forums or I will do it for you. In fact, I suppose it's only fair to remove you, since I've been blocked...

Sounds like a lot of bad blood here.  If one of the moderators went through the trouble of tracking you down to receive your side of the story, it sounds like you should try meeting them halfway with a more tactful response.  Closing off any avenues for discusson doesn't help and can only fester.

Yeah...Although I can't contact them through the forums now, so I really have no way of contacting them (the individual mods, I mean). Letting this thread continue as it was just felt...weird. Plus, I mean, I'm not on their server anymore, so I should be moving on. I only posted that initial post to sort of vent because I seriously could not believe I'd gotten kicked out of that chat, though now I see it probably would've been better suited for LiveJournal or something. I just thought that after having to go through this ordeal, the members who had to suffer through all the downtime would've liked to have seen the ridiculousness I had to put up with.

Oh, and to clear anything up, I let the staff know I'd posted it. I only expected them to read it and not be able to censor me (and to be honest, I wasn't even expecting them to actually read it), not to have a team of mods come accost me! I thought they were too busy "busting their butts" to actually take the time to join another forum. LOL

Ah well. **raises glass** To a (hopefully) better future with Swifthost.net! :)
