So I thought we could maybe get this rolling! It would be so fun to have a chance to play characters that didn't make it in. I have a particularly sad clown waiting for some RP time. :D

Who would like to be in on this?

Where should we set it?

Maybe we can start with these two questions...

Participants Thus Far:

Chokk: Reading and writing with (Vist)
Matra Hammer: Reading and possibly writing with (Maxine/Terrence)
Frost: Reading and writing (Grainger)
TNT: Reading, writing with (?), steering
Rousseau: Reading, writing with (Alder)
Clutus: Reading and writing as (Shortstack)

Ha, I'd asked about this moments ago in another thread. Good on you for rolling a good initiative, Chokk.

"Who would like to be in on this?"

I'd rather just read along, but I'll join if you like.

"Where should we set it?"

A few options spring to mind.

- A festival at Yew set before the prologue
- A mirror RP that starts where the prologue left off
- Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen descend on the world of Redwall like golden gods and teach the side RP cast the true meaning of rock. EDIT: Redwall "Making the Band"
- EDIT: RP cast paints a cart with flowers and solves spooky mysteries!

Chokk Wulgar

HaHa! Ok, those last two suggestions are quite funny :D

I'm thinking a mirror could be good... if that wouldn't mess too much with actual contest. I don't want to step on the toes of those who made it in. I don't think it would do that... I would just want to make sure it was cool with everyone.

Other than that... possibly we could create some sort of silly situation and let our characters play it out. That could be quite fun.

As far as being in the RP... I don't think those who don't want t be in it need to if you're just looking to read. However, we may need all the RPers we can get if not too many people are interested in writing for the audience RP... let's wait and see :D

Goragula

I really want you to do the Yngwie Malsteem one.

:goragula: What does a toad with a BA in Literature say?

... Do you want flies with that?

Well of course we'll have Satriani too.

I, for one, welcome our new long-haired, trenchcoated overlords.

EDIT:
Rock God nonsense aside, are there any other premise/setting ideas floating about?  I also wonder if this would run as a free-form, round robin RP or under the plot-prodding direction of a GM?

Frost

Fun, fun, fun. ;) This is exciting...count me in.

Um, as far as plots: I definitely second the humorous route, only because I can assume the regular contest will go down many a dark'n'dank place, so it might be nice to have some lighthearted stuff...and that can be as difficult as heavy drama to write, so an exellent challenge to the participants!

Also: mirrored plot. I like that idea, as long as we twist it, kinda like how King did with Desperation and The Regulators? We can get into specifics when we agree on something...and I think it'd be nice to have a GM help steer it, too. Just two cents, a'course.

We need some shredding Beach Boys, too!
Hello again.

TNT

Ooh, I wanna write in this, too! Or I could attempt to steer it. I dunno!

@TNT: Could you help with both? That would be really great :D

It makes me feel more confident to have at least one admin on the controls of this.

I will make an edit to the first post to record who's in for what for this RP.

Oh, let me know who you want to RP with in this everyone :D

Matra Hammer

If I decide to hop in I'll use Maxine and/or Terrence. Or some other beast if the mood strikes me.

Good seeing we have so many interested so far. I'm sure we'll get a few more soon enough.

Rousseau

I have been out of town with little internet, so, sorry I've taken so long in replying to this. I'm definitely interested in writing for it as Alder, though I don't know how well he'd do in a humorous setting- (I just wrote a drabble involving him... and yeah...)

I'm Busy

Chokk Wulgar

The drabble was really very good Rousseau, I liked it a lot.

I'll add you to the list. RP is pretty much like what we do in the contest actually.

Clutus

I would like to join in with Shortstack.  Work has been pretty slow the last few weeks, so some RPing would be a fun way to beat the summer boredom.

As far as plot, I'd be happy with a humorous plot of some kind.  It might not be exactly Shortstack's forte, but I usually enjoy a fun, silly RP more than anything else.  So Shortstack can just live with it.

Oh damn. Wish I had time for a roleplay of this EPIC porportion but alas, two jobs kinda keep me busy.  I doubt I'd have had any time for the contest if my application had made it in. : /
