Yes, the treadmill video! Erethas, you are pretty much my hero. :D
She walks in beauty, like the night
of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
meet in her aspect and her eyes...

~Lord Byron

Totally still working on the RV5 epilogue, I swear...

Erethas

Thank you,  ;D. You've seen it too? It's amazing what one can do without special effects . . . it makes it all the nicer too. Oh yes, and you'll love this if you haven't seen it, but I am guessing you have, but all the same - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAQZ_uui1SY

Deadtail

Yes treadmill video  ;D ;D

My musical tastes are, alas, quite limited, but I'll be sure to post on the off chance I do come up with something.
No s? si la guerra ha terminado
O se han olvidado de m?...
Como un topo, sin nadie alrededor
Bajo el suelo, como un topo, sin ver la luz del sol

Nice music selections, everybody! Got some more after listening to my Irish folk music mix. Both by the High Kings, but they're just so good.

First a song for Liza because she's a devious little thing and we all know it's going to end badly for Dammy and Venny. Oh, you black velvet minx, you! "Black Velvet Band"

And another song for Dammy. I'd advise against watching the video with this one, just listen to the audio. Honestly...watching video is painful because the audio track is so out of sync.^^; So! For our Minstrel to his adoring fans: "Phil the Fluther's Ball"

*crickets chirruping*

Opal

Ooh ooh! I thought of things!

Rath:
"What the H*** Have I?" - Alice in Chains
I just think the whole starting over bit and just the general feel of the song matches him perfectly!

And because I couldn't find a video of this. People need more of the Brunettes in their lives, honestly! :P

Venril:
"It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'N Roll)" - AC/DC
This was my husband's suggestion, but I couldn't think of anything better. I mean, why not? :P

Suellyn:
"Ana's Song (Open Fire)" - Silverchair
Okay, so I know Suellyn wasn't obsessed with being thin, but this song is about anorexia (or any eating disorder, really) and, well, it just plain roxxorz. :P

I also thought "I Will Follow You Into the Dark" by Death Cab for Cutie was rather fitting, but Su didn't seem the suicidal type. But still, she seemed to be slowly killing herself anyway without Baez...so...here! Bonus song!

Revel:
"Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?" - Culture Club
Just because I can imagine her singing it to Nivard, and it makes me snerk. :P
Warning: video contains Boy George. 'Nuff said. XD

Damask:
"Jokerman" - Bob Dylan
These lyrics in particular:
"So swiftly the sun sets in the sky
You rise up and say goodbye to no one
Fools rush in where angels fear to tread
Both of their futures, so full of dread, you don't show one
Shedding off one more layer of skin
Keeping one step ahead of the persecutor within.

Jokerman dance to the nightingale tune
Bird fly high by the light of the moon
Oh, oh, oh, Jokerman.

You're a man of the mountain, you can walk on the clouds
Manipulator of crowds, you're a dream twister
You're going to Sodom and Gomorrah
But what do you care ? Ain't nobody there would want marry your sister
Friend to the martyr, a friend to the woman of shame
You look into the fiery furnace, see the rich man without any name."

Bellona:
"Hurt" - Johnny Cash (originally by Nine Inch Nails, but, well, Johnny Cash, man!)
Mainly the line, "I hurt myself today, to see if I still feel." Just seems to match Bell's numbness about her companions dying all around her.

Keane:
"Mary Jane's Last Dance" - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Because the song is just awesome. And about drugs. Warning: the video is a tad creepy/macabre.

Eliza:
"Love Her Madly" - The Doors
BECAUSE.

Deadtail:
"Gotta Serve Somebody" - Bob Dylan
I think this song fits because Deadtail basically spent his life denying the inevitable, thinking he didn't need anyone but himself. Poor Deady... **sniffle**
"I've got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel." - Blackadder the Third

Damask the Minstrel

Nice!

And, little correction, Hurt was written by Trent Renzor of NiN with and for Johnny Cash!
"The story of life - Boy meets girl. Boy gets stupid. Boy and girl live stupidly ever after." -- Dr. James Wilson

Opal

Ah right. My brother misinformed me, then. :P
"I've got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel." - Blackadder the Third

Dozystoat

A CHALLENGER APPROACHES

So I started this about midnight. It's um... it's about 7 AM now. >.> Dozystoat - not so dozy after all.

I loaded up about 50 hours of music in Winamp and then sifted through them until I had about 5 hours left, but that's probably still including some I forgot to delete off the playlist. So some of the songs I forgot why I chose them, or maybe I chose them 'cos I thought they MIGHT fit and I'd find something better later, and by the time I was done it was all kinda just molded together into a big cotton ball of guitar solos and whacky lyrical nonsense thank you David Bowie!

Shhh, I'll sleep now.

Enjoy. ^^

Suellyn
This Heaven (David Gilmour) - She eats when Baez is around!? A lot of these songs, a LOT of them, were very skeptical and I'm just keeping them in to get them out there more. XD
Going Home (Misen) - "Home" being "Dark Forest" of course. "Forgiveness" (same artist) might also kinda work for that...
Forever Autumn (Moody Blues... kinda; also War of the Worlds musical) - 'COS YOU'RE NOT HERE. 'COS YOU'RE NOT HEEE-EERE. 'COS YOU'RE NOT HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE.
Memories (Within Temptation) [also works for Bellona's lost husband] - ;_; so sad.

Damask
I'll Be There (The Pirate Queen) - I... didn't have any songs about crazy birds that are trying to court pine martens. Except this one.

Deadtail
Holy Grail (Hunters and Collectors) - So totally "guy in a giant army doin' stuff". XD
Soldier of Fortune (Deep Purple) - Probably doesn't really fit, but again. Soldier. Motif. Thing.
Paranoid Eyes (Pink Floyd) - Poor Deady had hopes at one point, I guess?
One of the Few (Pink Floyd) - Wasn't sure at first, then I remembered: Oh, yes! Deadtail was a teacher. Briefly. So very briefly.
Dogs (Pink Floyd) - This song has always reminded me about vermin. Deadtail especially fits 'cos he's a bit elderly and more experienced in staying alive.
On The Turning Away (Pink Floyd) - He's like the only one who seemed to care about the Fritterik's well-being. That was very nice.
Us and Them (Pink Floyd) - SOLDIER.

Revel
Bliss (Muse) - As someone who gets to know Revel might realise about her
Feeling Good (Muse) - Revel likes to party in the natures! musemusemusemusemuse
This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody) (Talking Heads) - For sheer all-out cuteness and lovability of her stoatly grace.
Please Don't Leave Me (Pink) - I wasn't certain at first, but the part in Venril's post when he gets Eliza's dress back made it seem like she really wanted him to stick around after all...
Hidden Fear (Richard Wright) - Vague lyrics, but quite fitting to when she's aware of her kits growing.

Bellona
You Know I'm Right (David Gilmour) - Because what Woodlander can go without being the absolute say in things? XD
Hear No Evil (Hunters and Collectors) - Mostly the bits about grinding infidels! Wee.
Map of the Problematique (Muse) - Musemusemusemusemusemusemuse
Lovesong (Voltaire... but written by someone else.) - More husbandy stuff
Stand My Ground (Within Temptation) - *scratches head* 'Cos she's a tough warrior chick and it's sung by a girl? I guess?
Dagger (Slowdive) - Funny thought while listening to this: What if the song was actually sung by Bellona's dirk? XD
Childgood's End (Pink Floyd) - She grows up and things and doesn't get to be childish anymore!? I guess!?
The Hero's Return (Pink Floyd) - If she ever does return, that is. The first verse in particular reminds me of her old interactions with Martin's Sha - Gho - those guys. Same verse also fits Deadtail's annoyance at the younger vermin in his old horde.

Rath
No Way (David Gilmour) - I ... don't remember why I had picked this song.
Hours of Wealth (Opeth) - Or this.
Feathery Wings (Voltaire) - I remember this one! Because it's about wanting to help people who are in trouble (suicidal, the song sounds like), and I'm getting that feeling from Rath's sadness over Keane's death and his wanting to protect Eliza (does he want?) and Revel
No Compassion (Talking Heads) - For whenever Matukhana is talking to him and he's like Pff, go away fox.
Welcome to the Machine/Have a Cigar (Pink Floyd) - 'Cos for some reason I picture Rath's gladiatoralness as being like a Redwall version of a rock star...

Venril
Brand New Day (Dr. Horrible) - Ohohohohohoho when he killed Verand. The whole Dr. Horrible thing is a bit Venny-ish. And especially the whole line about "Not a joke, not a dork, not a failure"
Unintended (Muse) - Well... I'd like to see him stop swooning over scarface and start hooking up with the cute-as-a-button pyschotic bulbous female of his own species. XD

Eliza
Screenager (Muse) - musemusemusemusemusemusemusemusemusemusemusemuse
Take a Breath (David Gilmour) - Forgot why I picked it! Make of it what you will, I guess?
Blue Room in Venice (Richard Wright) - When she looks into that pool of water at her face!!! So cute
Acrobat (U2) - Something about her dancing around all the males in the story while still trying to stay true to herself or something. Kinda muddled.

Keane
Paranoid Big Brother (3 Daft Monkeys) - Okay, so this was like the first song that came up when I threw all my music into a Winampl playlist, and for some reason I thought of Keane and stuck it in, and now I can't think of WHY it fits, but I'm keeping it here because people need to go research 3 Daft Monkeys.
Short and Sweet (David Gilmour) - Something about life being short so ... um. Drugs? It's sung so slow I kinda lost focus but there was something about immoral men in it. So what the hey.
The Small Print (Muse) - Keane's not bad after all! It's his customers that are ruining themselves. Yes.
Crunchy Granola Suite (Neil Diamond) - "Tried my brand... DIG!" Yes. So yes.
Pink's Song (Richard Wright) - Keane struck me as ... well, the only really NICE guy in the whole thing. And he got caught up in all this drama. And he was pretty cool about it all. Until he died.
Born Bad (Voltaire) - Keane loved his mommy, I thought. Even as bad as he became, he always seemed to look a bit guilty to me, over his role in things.
Comfortably Numb (Pink Floyd) - I would be a horrible person for not suggesting that Keane is the doctor to Rath's rock star.

BONUS

Damask/Venril/Eliza
Bittersweet (Apocalyptica) - Although I imagine them BOTH to sing more like the high-voiced guy...
Blue Light (David Gilmour) - No, I don't even remember how the lyrics go anymore. Guess!
A Man's Gotta Do (Dr. Horrible) - Nathan Fillion IS Damask AS Captain Hammer ... and apparently Eliza is a total airhead and Venril needs to speak up.
The Promise (When in Rome) [for both the male, to Liza] - *shrug*
So Cruel (U2) - She is. She totally is.

Fritterik
Stigmata Martyrs (Abney Park) - This ... is a song about killing your gods or something?
Blind (Talking Heads) - It has the word "Blind" in it. About a thousand times. That's why it's here.
What a Day That Was (Talking Heads) - From what I gather, they only spent a few days, storytellingwise, in the caves. So. This is actually more like a song about the story. Lotta stuff happens on the first day. Second day, they have nothing to do but wait to get out again and all that? Durrh, I dunno.
Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving With a Pict (Pink Floyd) - ... I had to.
Sheep (Pink Floyd) - This is more like it. Idiots that rise up and overthrow their masters in stabbity fury!

Nivard
Viva la Vida (Coldpaly) - He didn't take too kindly to his moment of leadership, did he?
Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon (Neil Diamond) - Except in this case, the girl in question already is a woman. And Nivard probably really is very bad for her. XD

Baez
Ballad of Sister Sue (Slowdive) - Two things: The line, "it's only my eyes, I've sold them before" and ... well, SUE!!!!
Home by the Sea (Genesis) - SIT DOWN. SIT DO-HOW-HOW-HOW-HOWN. AS WE RELIVE OUR LIVES IN WHAT WE TE-HEEEEEELL YOUUUU.

... oh goodness this is so long and I didn't even talk about Final Fantasy like I wanted to. ;_;
ASK ME ABOUT WEASELS (and, to a lesser extent, stoats)

Revel

 :pinky:

That is amazing, Dozy. I've listened to all the ones for Revel and I have to agree they each fit her in different and interesting ways. Fantastic work, everyone!

I heard this in the Doctor Who confidential just a few days ago, and looking up the lyrics, found it mirrors Revel's feelings towards Eliza.

And I hope that you know that nature is so
This same rain that draws you near me
Falls on rivers and land, and forests and sand,
Makes the beautiful world that you'll see in the morning

To all reviewers, past and present, thank you! I don't always find something to say in reply to each reviewer but I do my best to read them and will take their advice as best I can. You are appreciated!
