PHILISTINE!!!!!!!

I've got it now and I can tell you it is...somewhat different from the way it is described. (He... he is thinking himself out of existence and the text starts to disappear at the same time, what)

Now I want to know how they describe Lolita. "A bereaved young girl and her stepfather go on a wild romp through the United States of America! She teaches him to love again!"

... Yeah, certainly not the way I interpreted Lolita.

(BTW, have you seen the Jeremy Irons movie version of Lolita? He's so creepy! It's wonderful!)

Oh, gosh, yes! Like, it is not my favorite (not that I'm too fond of the Kubrick version, either), and it's not hard to be better at acting than James Mason and his pet faux-European accent, but Irons is just so greaaaaat and manages to capture how creepy, and pathetic, and double-thinky and tricky Humbert is. I about died when I heard he reads the audiobook, too.

Like, I do not particularly enjoy audiobooks but I might faint if I listen to Jeremy Irons reading Nabokov.

Amen to that!

As wonderfully awesome as James Earl Jones' voice is (I mean, I almost bought the audiobook of the KJV narrated by him, 'cause... Imagine him doing OT angry-God voice: "Who made the blind to see!") and as cliched it is to say he has the best voice... I like Jeremy Irons' more. He just sounds... cultured evil. As good as Anthony Hopkins is at cultured evil, I think Irons has the edge, especially in that role -- or in Man in the Iron Mask. Assassin-priest ahoy!

I LOVE Jeremy Iron's voice!!! It is so rough and growly and wonderfully fantastic. I have watched a few nature documentaries narrated by him, about lions and leopards, which brings to say that he was the once who voiced Scar in the Lion King. Gosh, I can go on and on about him.
Alan Rickman also has a really good voice as well.

See, I've had the same inner-debate as above. Rickman's is good, but too... snobby? Just not as nice on the ear.

(And, yes, I still like his role in TLK.)

Stonewall

Ah, the Hans or Simon debate. I'm going with Hans. He seemed more dangerous, in a way. I think it was because Simon had a whole army, and Hans just had a handful of terrorists. Mind you, Simon's German acent was better.

Hey, you guys like animals, right? You like cats?

CATS.

Somewhat mature content within, just to warn you. I guess it's sort of Watership Down-ian in that it portrays fluffy animated animals in a suprisingly adult way, and I can also see more than a little NIMH influence in the plot. The dialogue/voice-acting is kind of goofy sometimes since it was formerly like a German direct-to-video type deal, and it's not as subtle as the aforementioned classics, but I still liked it. Plus the theme song (by Boy George of all people) is super-catchy, it's been in my head for like two days straight

Apparently based off a book series, which I haven't got around to reading yet but probably will...

I wonder how old he is. He's really good.

As for Felidae, I watched that a month or two ago. Both movies should not be watched by young children, in my opinion.

You guys should watch this: Evolution of Dance

For some reason I thought this was going to be this, to round out the esteemed trilogy of painful(ly hilarious) C-movie line readings. But you're right, that kid is really good. ;P
